  1. And I had the same 3 Aries 6 strings basses. Funny, no ?
  2. For this stupid too high price tag, you can have a whole working bass with two of the even rarer 🤔 machine heads of the first generation : https://www.zikinf.com/annonces/annonce-1714486 C'mon, that's just an insane price for a piece of metal.
  3. Yes, Russ, this is the one that started all our countless deals... But before being yours, it was belonging to @gioby1 the original owner.

Non-smoking environment, as usual. The Šabić brothers, at the origin of the brand, are, for one, classical luthier and, for the other, electronics engineer. They manufacture instruments of excellent craftsmanship and with handpicked electronic components. Unfortunately, they stopped the production of their always unique and hand-made instruments to work for a brand-name Custom Shop three years ago ... This is, therefore, a unique instrument made to measure for an Italian bassist and I am the third owner. It is an ultra-versatile and super rare bass. The new price in 2009 was around 4.500 Euros… The bass has been fully set up professionally. It has two new batteries and has been fitted with a brand new set of LaBella Super Steps SS45CB strings (29 - 45 - 65 - 85 - 105 - 128). Link to all the high resolution photos and the below sound clip : https://drive.google.com/open?id=1eich-IrjiKGxx3wAHupJPHlKSj_bNxjh Link to a video made by my friend Vincent : Here, a sound clip recorded with this very bass, except for the fretless intro and outro, by the same Vincent : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1jezFSCAl3S_3Yl_dNcurxnARbRvVeAZ5/view What you see is what you get ! Look at the pictures taken under different lights to see the real condition : some few marks, especially close to the bottom strap pin and the usual light scratches, but nothing serious at all. Don't hesitate to ask for more.
  5. 4 or 5 five strings, Chris ?
  6. Used to be mine (of course, would some say). A, now, very rare bass as only 20 were made as 6 strings basses... GLWYS.
  7. Urm, do you know the meaning of kosher ? Is there any meat in your package and remember you are willing to send to Germany... I would be very careful using such an allegation. In the UK, almost no courier will insure a musical instrument for more than £100 GBP, EuroSender does up to 2000 Euros (it's a logistics company now based in Luxembourg, hence the Euros) and I've been using them a lot for instruments up to that value. Otherwise use UPS or Fedex and pay the full expensive fee, but read carefully the small print... A last recommendation : if you are the seller, always arrange yourself the shipping fully insured and trackable. Also remember that, by eBay, the buyer has to pay for the whole shipping fee including insurance and tracking number. Don't do so, then the eBay cover is void: it's as simple as that.
  8. It's also working for cats. My cat Jazzy who is accustomed to modal music just looked at me saying "Mercy please !"... And her look was telling me she was close to run away forever. Man, this guy is a suitable case for treatment.
  9. The cheapest like the Warwick Red ones are certainly the best choice for this particular situation. Even the brand name sold by Music Store or Thomann will do the work for even less money. https://m.thomann.de/gb/harley_benton_valuestrings_bassguitar_medium.htm?o=0&search=1564946127 https://www.dv247.com/en_GB/GBP/Fame-Bass-Strings-4er-45-100-round-wound/art-BAS0003544-000
  10. Yep, indeed, hence the "full" compatibility sentence. That said, I've been using Nuendo for years and came back to Cubase when I bought my UR-RT2 as the upgrade to Cubase Pro 10 was "cheap". Cheaper than buying the latest Nuendo 10 64 bits version, in fact, and for what I'm doing now, Cubase Pro 10 coupled to Wavelab 9.5 is more than enough.
  11. And remember that, now, free jazz standard :
  12. Just like @uk_lefty said and try playing on a fretless with lots of sustain, it will add that extra dimension needed here. The guitarist should also try playing a 12 strings guitar instead and sing his backing vocals a 5th higher. That way, it would sound really rich and full.
  13. The Cathedral is thanking you, Jade. 😉
  14. Of course, but I think you've not known the glory years of fighting against software and hardware compatibility, some 20 to 25 years ago. That's why I wrote "fully"... 😉
  15. With the Steinberg UR-RT4, you can do it as there's 4 direct inputs. Furthermore it's fully compatible for Cubase 10 as it's made by ... Steinberg. I use the UR-RT2 with Cubase Pro 10 and Wavelab 9.5 as I don't need more than 2 inputs at the same time.
  16. And another perfect deal done. I bought Russ Conklin GT 8. Guiness Book awaiting.
  17. Steinberg UR-RT2 or UR-RT4 with the Neve transformers. https://www.steinberg.net/en/products/audio_interfaces/ur_rt_series/ur_rt4.html
  18. Acetone is indeed super glue (cyanoacrylate) solvant, but beware with your finish. The razor blade is what I do first, then the acetone thing and the polishing.
  19. In fact, this video is very instructive. Eveybody has noticed that a guitar is so strong that it needed several passes over by a 30.000 kilos engine to be slightly reliced. So next time you'll do the sissy about shipping an instrument, watch that video again ! The other fact is that a stock destruction must be assessed, hence the video as paying a legal bailiff would have led Gibson to the final bankruptcy.
  20. Take a look at my short list of owned basses.
  21. Typical eBay crap. It's brother too, so Paul's brother is a bass : very interesting breed there.
  22. Yes, it's that one : 1000 Watts at 4 Ohms.
  23. Wow, that was fast, Jade !
  24. Now, it's a Punker. Hope some will catch this. 😬
