  1. I discovered him through "Stimela", there was the powerful music but also the powerfuller lyrics... Great loss, indeed. May he rest in peace.
  2. . . . . . err. . I did. You even quoted my questions, both of them Taking words out of context or erasing part s of a sentence is called manipulation. I quoted you so there could be no mismatching with my answer. But as a manipulator would do, you still don't answer the main question I asked you and still interpret what I wrote.
  3. You are interpreting what I wrote and this is as dangerous as what GG has done... But as you didn't ask, here is some answering start : Would you react the same way if the abused person was a member of your own family or friends circle ? I've made my opinion about the subject when I was a child : true justice must be applied, nothing else, and that implies jail and money compensation for the victims in our world where you can buy impunity or bad behaviour which is awful, of course.
  4. Erno Zwaan (owner, designer and engineer of Q-Tuner) doesn't recommend anything but passive path. I used to own two basses with the very first generation of these pickups (transparent with the red coils visible and three rows of screw for fine tuning the sound) : humbucker, but really close to a single coil with the same attack and response, but not as dead sharp precise. Certainly the best humbucker pickup(s) ever without the need of an active preamp to correct the sound that is very dynamic, fast, clear, focused with a terrific bandwidth. I think my next fretless 6 strings will get this brand new version :
  5. If you want a sticker, you have to buy it nowadays, mad world indeed. And maybe the strings will break after 16 days, who knows, mad world, I told you.
  6. Was the same for me with the SUB4 I owned : these USA made early models sound better than the originals, quite weird, but true.
  7. This far : https://newatlas.com/joi-harmonic-hendrix-acoustic-guitar/53050/ Just makes me want to puke. Hendrix family is a solid bunch of a**holes !
  8. Ages isn't the right word, traded mine here last year or so and they come quite often for sale here at ridiculous prices...
  9. Russ has been faster than me on trades proposal. So I won't interfere. That's the beautifulest Thunderbird ever !
  10. And another perfect trade with Russ. I'm now in the 7 strings bass world with that amazing Warrior DM 7 Signature and it's delightful ! Never done so many trades, sellings or buyings with the same guy before, but we are tuned to the same frequencies so cheers mate...
  11. Sold some tuners to Dave. Ultra easy communication, ultrafast payment. A real pleasure to deal with. A++++++++ as they say elsewhere.
  12. E grazie per aver scelto un colore blu e non l'orribile patchwork originale ! Bellissimo suono anche.
  13. Thanks a lot. I never saw it before. I guess you've heard the live in Europe of 1965, originally only 5 titles recorded by the RTB in one of their Brussels studio (Flagey I think) in very high quality ?
  14. The context is quite clear, I never mentioned digital (numeric on our side of the sea) counting... Mathematics and philosophy as it's written.
  15. Thanks to this thread I'm reading again, some 30 years later, Théorie de la musique by Adolphe DANHAUSER, and I'm enjoying it a lot, certainly more than 30 years ago. I'm also doing this to make sure that I didn't write any crap. I also now understand why I'm a fretless player rather than a fretted one : it's called the equal temperament. In fact, thanks to you all here, I noticed that I need to hear the natural harmonic note (as the third is always out of tune in the equal temperament), so I'm naturally correcting it on the fretless, and especially on chords I could play. This is again also why it took me years to appreciate the piano or even to some extent the guitar even if I've always been a great fan of Wes Montgomery, and now Radu Lupu that I had the opportunity to hear twice (solo and with orchestra) or Hiromi and of course the late Esbjörn Svensson and Oscar Peterson... Thank you guys, really.
  16. So we have to show our degrees ? And next step will be IQ, I guess. Wow, coming from a philosopher, that's the most patronising answer ever, but as you have the two necessary degrees, may I ask you something that will involve the use the both of them ? Can you prove and demonstrate us using mathematics and philosophy that "1 + 1 = 2" ?
  17. Ok, I give up, for now on a chord is a single note that is not played. That way everybody will be happy and we won't have to take elephant in pills to go to sleep. After all, classical music and rules are just made to be ignored so keep on driving backwards on the wrong side of the road totally drunk and at twice the speed limit. That would be fun, no ?
  18. If you want the scientific explanation of a chord, here it goes : any sound produced by anything is made of natural harmonics, if you take the first 6 natural harmonics and delete the repeated ones, there stays only 3 natural harmonics which are in musical theory intervals of thirds, so it's the root followed by the third (minor or major) and the fifth. And according to a guy called J-S Bach that's the reason why a (perfect) chord is made of 3 "notes".
