2.
Allo Does anyone else have over 50 basses? I'm currently at critical mass (seriously) with 57 basses and around 13 guitars. I must stress that this is not in any way shape or form meant to prove anything (other than that I am completely nuts and am about to lose everything {including my mind!} in my quest for furtherage of bass fulfillment!) but I'm intrigued as there are some really great collections out there in Basschat Land. My collection has grown rapidly and having gotten involved here, I've met some really great people with some really amazing basses. Am I mad? Cheers. Nick
Where do you put them all? I had enough trouble with storage when I had 4!
3. Well techinally I have 3, although I'm only in possession of 1 - my Carvin 5 string. John Shuker is currently building me 1 and I'm waiting to get my Iceni back from Mike Walsh
4. I would
5. Seriously underated band Madness. Quality stuff, and great musicians. One of the Sunday papers gave away a live CD of Madstock over 2 weeks last year. I have both
6. Now living in that London (SW) and still want to swap for the simpler life.
7.
So I fancy trying to get some official grades, in the hope that it'll put me on the path of getting the theory down. However, looking at the site they don't seem to have grades for Bass guitar, even though I've heard of people taking them. So do they exist? Do they just make you take the ones for guitar?
Thet do exist, try the ABRSM, or The Associate Board of the Royal School of Music. Think they do them. Of course some people will say The Ox never had any grades, or Jaco...
8. Does anyone going know about wireless transmitters? I think mine has a faulty ariel connection, and I'd be awfully grateful if someone could have a look
9.
Is it the Otway trick of a strap peg in the bottom of the bass hung fronm a piece of string attached to your jeans button? Or it it held up by will power?
It could be Will Power. He's hiding just out of shot, holding the bass up
10. use 3 fingers, nearer to the bridge when speed is needed. A bit of thumbing too, in the odd place can beef up the sound.
11.
hey - I bought a return ticket from Waterloo for £11.50 - so that's me sorted - I'll probably get a cab to the venue from there... so er, see some of you there m
Hey Urb could possibly join you. I'll confirm nearer the time, but the train is looking like my best bet too. McD

14.
I'll be dropping down from Crystal Palace, through Croydon, Caterham, thence round the magic roundabout to the M3. Or, I might come out through Clapham/Wandsworth.
I'm gonna be living in Roehampton, would that put you too far out of the way?
15.
If you manage to sell, selling my ME50B for £120 inc. postage. Kinda hoping it will go local first, so not yet listed here.
don't fancy a swap then?
16. So after about 7 years of faultless performance my Audio Technica wireless finally decided to give up on me. No sound, but if you jiggle the ariel on the transmitter pac, it cuts in and out. I've emailed Audio Technica about a replacement transmitter, but have had no reply. Unfortunately they no longer make the model. So are transmitters fixable, or are they notoriously none fixable? If anyone near Luton fancies having having a fiddle I would be awfully grateful and honour bound to supply a few pints in the process.
17. Gotta be Bootsy baby, no question
18. so no-one wants to buy at this splendid price, or swap for a ME50-B? That's a shame, coz this is a great bit of kit which I will never be able to get the most out of.
19. bum bum bump! Swap or sell.
20. Gusto claims first prize. Apologies to Bennifer.

22.
Hi, dont know if anyones interested in this topic,
It's what we're here for! I know there's a lot of people like me, who follow a lot of build threads, but don't necessarily post in them. Doesn't mean we're not interested!
23. Luton Aid - Saturday 26th July. All day charity event at the University SU. We were the first band on at 2pm so I was expecting to be playing to the bar staff and the next band, but we actually had a fair sized audience. Only 30 mins, but it went so fast. One major mistake by the drummer - which we managed to cover and plough on, and one song played mainly as an instrumental as the vocalist couldn't hear anything and didn't know where he was, otherwise good gig and we went down quite well. I went through a mates Marshall stack. Sounded pants on stage, but FOH sounded great. Spent the rest of the day watching the rest of the bands and drinking student priced beer
24.
I thought Ibanez really cracked down on people duplicating the monkey grip...
Can they do that, it's just a hole in the wood?
