Another date for the diary, apparently this one is a belter. Vintage Bass Room will again be there so if you come along, don't forget to give me a shout. Cant promise to have JMJ or VJ from Kaiser Chiefs there like the Leeds show, but I will see who I can rustle up! THE LONDON INTERNATIONAL GUITAR SHOW 2025 Now in its eighth year, The London International Guitar Show (LIGS) will return to Kempton Park Racecourse, Staines Rd East, Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex, TW16 5AQ on 26th October 2025. LIGS has all the trademark features of our other well-established events. These include an affordable entrance fee for visitors, sensibly-priced exhibitor costs with no added extras, free parking for all, good transport links including proximity to the motorways and even a railway station in the venue grounds. Long-distance visitors can also benefit from a large range of reasonably priced accommodation nearby. Last time more than 150 exhibitors attended from all over the UK and Europe and this year promises to attract even more. Based on the style of USA table-top exhibitions, LIGS is first and foremost a retail event. New, vintage and pre-owned guitars, amps and pedals will be available to buy, trade and sell from a host of retailers, distributors, manufacturers, luthiers, boutique makers and private collectors - not to mention a whole gamut of strings and accessories. As with all the NGS events, workshops, demonstrations and live music will be available in separate areas throughout the day, with some of the top names in the industry performing. LIGS is sponsored by Strings & Things, LR Baggs, Mooer, Hercules Stands, Ernie Ball, Fret-King Guitars, Vintage Guitars, Ivor Mairants Musicentre, Lava Music, Rapier Guitars, Scan Pro Audio, Flattley Guitar Pedals, Reflex Print, McCrerie Guitars, Guitar Nerds and The Musicians' Union. Registration is open to any business with guitar-related products including retailers, distributors, manufacturers, luthiers, boutique makers and private collectors and dealers. Free Parking. Public admission is £15 (pay on the door) with accompanied under-12's free.

Thats my reasoning, I will happily carry a stupidly heavy tube amp and pair it with a Barefaced 610 or 310 which in my mind equals things out. Plus the sound is worth the carry

Yeah tried Mike, not that one I’m afraid, think it had already gone. I know they’re pretty rare but I’ll keep my fingers crossed someone decides to cash in

Such cool gear, my fist amp was a Trace Elliot. So bloody heavy I used to push it in a Presto supermarket trolley to rehearsals at the local school, about a mile away uphill!!! Searching for a V8 atm if anyone has one in their garage

It’s a beauty and I always offer a little discount to BC members too. Both @AndyTravis and @Old Man Riva have played this at the Birmingham show.

Ampeg V4B Reissue 100w Valve Amp. In great condition and always kept in the Ampeg Cover sleeve. Only 6 months old and very light use, gigged it a few times and it's excellent. This is beautifully paired with a matching Ampeg SVT 212A. They both have almost brand new Ampeg Soft Covers too. Only selling as I use my new Barefaced 310 which is magnificent and I would like to purchase the Aguilar DB751 which is on here, if it goes I will probably withdraw this or would trade for a Hiwatt DR103 or 201 plus cash. Happy to help with delivery / meet up somewhere if that helps. No offers, price is firm. The Ampeg V-4B bass guitar amplifier head is a modern reissue of the legendary, much-loved original model that was first released in 1971. The Ampeg V-4B features all-valve pre- and power-amps, with the power amp producing 100 watts thanks to its compliment of four 6L6GC valves. The pre amp comes equipped with a pair of 12AX7 tubes and includes a driver section that is fitted with a single 12AX7 and a single 12AU7 valve. The pre amp also features a three-band EQ with Ultra Hi/Lo switches and a three-position rocker switch that selects the mid tone frequency. To give the Ampeg V-4B a more modern edge, it comes equipped with a -15dB input for use with active instruments, an integrated balanced DI output and multiple speaker outputs.

What a bloody brilliant show, thanks again to @AndyTravis for the mega help and @LukeFRC for bringing some apple shaped sustenance. I can't promise to bring such high profile 'rock stars' to every show but Andy will always be there! Wonder who I can get to come to the London shindig in October 🤔 VJ from Kaisers is a super cool cat and top guy, bought a bass from me during covid times and sorted me out tickets and backstage beers to after shows too, and JMJ I've chatted too for years about weird and wonderful basses. and the stars aligned to get him to rock up to a Village Hall in the outskirts of Leeds! Weird how things work out. He's coming to the studio at the weekend too. Just back from a mega old valve amp collection to Wales. Well played everyone!
