  1. Yeah thanks mate and what a bass! I think it's the done thing tbh, especially on here as everyone is kinda mates. I think paying the difference on that was profit was the right call. I mean I run Vintage Bass Room as more of a business now than a side hustle, although still not full time and hope that I contribute to the forum too. I did also pay the rather large commercial fee last year to sell things on here, which I didn't mind at the time as long as we all did, the fee was quite large but if it goes towards the running of the site then I am all for that. Unfortunately I don't think it was followed up/difficult to police so I guess fell by the wayside this year. I think we are all aware some of the bigger retailer/bass places regularly scoop stuff up on here and it goes online at a much larger fee as you say, I guess thats the way they run their businesses which is par for the course I guess. Ive even talked people down on the commission I would charge if it sells as they're mates 🤣 Maybe im running it all wrong after all 🤣
  2. Unfortunately 2/3 of whatever they’re asking for is what BB will have paid imo. As stated above no way you buy anything from a shop, use it and sell it for the same money
  3. Not as heavy as the SVT I normally take 😂
  4. Ah mate it was epic! Can’t beat a Ripper, I mean I have 4 😂 That Hiwatt Custom is superb too
  5. A nice festival gig for us on Saturday playing a nice 60 min Nirvana set . It's great to see all ages enjoying some good old 90's grunge! Ripper into a Hiwatt and Barefaced 6x10 was sublime.
  6. I had a little noodle on this today when dropping off a bass, the pics don't do it justice. It's a stellar bass, sounds great and a lovely weight. A definite keeper!
  7. Yep its the best and the cable isn't great but I keep it as a spare and bought a new one from Designacable, in red so it looks cool 🤣
  8. Not enough is worse 🤣 Hope you're well mate
  9. Looks correct to me, it's usual that the red fades/disappears especially when it's been in the sunlight.
  10. Black Arts Pharoah Fuzz in limited edition black. It’s a lovely fuzz, sadly I have no need of it atm. May trade for an octave pedal Link to website here for lots of info https://www.blackartstoneworks.com/pedal/pharaoh/ price includes U.K. postage

  11. No worries mate
  12. What is it you're selling? I may be able to help, check out Vintage Bass Room
  13. Another beauty mate
  14. I’m toying with an RD Artist from Ishibashi at the moment. Would rather find something in the U.K. if possible but fruitless search atm
  15. Brian really helped me out on something over in Belfast which stopped me getting scammed on a bass ( we both had a feeling ). Above and beyond what I asked for and won’t accept a penny for his time or travel. Goes to show what a great forum and top bloke Brian is, obvs I’ve bought from him too so on whatever level you can deal with him in complete confidence Thanks again man
  16. Home studio use only and comes with a 9v adapter too. Price includes U.K. postage

  17. Quilter Bass Block 800 Amazing and powerful amp in a small lightweight bundle. Used as a back up amp and a couple of gigs, not a hard life. Selling as I have an ABM600 as a back up now. No trades thanks and U.K. postage included.
  18. Unfortunately too close I reckon 🤣
  19. Hmmm tempting
  20. @Beedster has cut this story to a very short version. I know the ins and outs and I’m absolutely disgusted at the way he’s been treated, especially on my recommendation. I always try to help people out on here and in general, and can honestly say I haven’t had an issue with him. However after this I won’t use his services again and have told him this. So yeah, I’d strongly suggest to look elsewhere for your courier needs and not book with Tim. Again apologies @Beedster 😔
  21. Gotta love an Ampeg! Tried everything else and nothing touches it although Ashdown CTM300 is close, its perfect (for me)
  22. I have one too, was going to list it on here if anyone is looking. Absolutely amazing bass heads
  23. I started with a P bass, only because it was cheap to get started, it was an Ibanez Blazer and was ok. Then I chased THE sound in my head for 20 plus years with Modulus, Jazz, Rays you name it, all great but not the sound. Eventually persuaded to try the P again and yep, that was the sound I was chasing all along. Simple yes, but perfect. Oh, I also have about 12 of them too🤣
  24. Reverb is full of scams now, normally get an offer for full price rather than a straight buy option and then they send the dodgy link. Had lots, told reverb and nothing seems to happen. Unfortunately thats the way of the world atm, full of chancer w**kers.
