Why not ask if you can hire it for a week for a minimal sum plus deposit ?

I had an MG car once, it was acceptable to replace old with new provided it looked like the OE part and the OE part was beyond repair; it was generally advised to keep the OE part just in case - maybe we should apply that logic here

Tbh I’d just buy a jap reissue and leave it at that. They’re made well enough that they are probably what you’re expecting a vintage fender to be but without the insane price tag

Smart dog - our fudge is a choc lab and ridiculously smart; I doubt she’d be a fan either fudge and toffee - I asked them about slap bass but they seemed to think I was suggesting snacks of some kind - though one did also fart, so maybe we should draw a conclusion from that on the topic
