  1. Wow ... keeper
  2. You’re buying another lovely 70s p bass and selling it again before any dust has actually settled on it ? 🤨
  3. Id like the butterscotch d5
  4. Also recommend the walking bass book as that’s specifically about transition from chord to chord
  5. Ed Friedland has a very good book on bass improvisation
  6. Like this https://www.wilko.com/wilko-30-amp-12-way-terminal-block/p/0051992?gclid=Cj0KCQiA0-6ABhDMARIsAFVdQv_e7KjU8oghKVt5Q39lXk_bCHKzPXzPS1qZgjPlTgD5eZQeaerzuYYaArT9EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds
  7. Just cut the wires and use a screw connector block from Wilkos to connect new pickups
  8. (replace “pics” with “sound samples”)
  9. Thankfully you’ve made sure that cannot happen now. Thank GOD for GAS it’s not pointless and unnecessary spend on things you don’t need, it’s insurance
  10. Mine is embarrassingly short compared to you GAS - infected monkeys sadly gone 90s musima white white maple P. Lovely bass that I stupidly made fret less and changed stuff. aria magna pro 2 5 string - too big for my hands but a lovely bass Jap j 62 reissue (3tsb and tort naturally) - lovely in OE condition still have ... vintage EST96A in trans yellow. Stingray 3eq clone - Punches above its weight. A nice bass bassdoc built P 70s style. (3tsb and tort naturally) Still have it, haven’t changed a thing as it was perfect from day 1. Except i reliced it using Adam Clayton’s sunburst P as a model and I now love it more home made J stack knob in Olympic white, rosewood TORT and fake blocks - see my build thread - self relicing as the super thin nitro is crazing nicely
  11. Hmm - needed tortoiseshell ... oh hang on, no, you’ve got that one covered As you were. Good work mister
  12. Yep - totally screwed the future
  13. Aren’t the Wilson sisters something of a constant presence ?
  14. And parlour guitar and my anatomy ... hang on, no, that’s not actually true .. sadly 😞
  15. That’s very pretty - not my usual thing .. but nice
  16. Yes @Andyjr1515 what colour is it eh? good work mister
  17. No, because then you get into a world of pain with grain filling, sanding sealer...I’ve been there in my build thread and it felt like it would never end solid colours over failed sunbursts was good enough for Leo fender ...
  18. No, I’d just fine-sand the shine off to give the paint a key. Assuming the paint types are similar ... I put white nitro straight over a failed transparent blonde (the paint coat was lovely but the can ran out before I could finish) with just a minimal sanding
  19. Thank you, however I would prefer not see my name used, Tarquin
  20. I apologise for inadvertently trolling you. Never again will I tease you for your lack of incompetence 🥺
  21. You probably made a prosthetic finger replacement out of Wenge (maple core, naturally) that’s slightly smaller than the luminlay dots so you can use it as a press tool for them, I’ll bet it’s held in place by a (chambered) rivet made of narwhal tusk, magnesium powder and unicorn saliva
  22. I’m talking about mr bassworks and all the other people who seem to think that making a chambered headstock out of powdered fairy dust and having it blessed by druids (at solstice, naturally) and kissed by unicorns is just run of the mill stuff that anyone can do
  23. Leeds store was good IME
