  4. I saw Toyah in Calamity Jane at the Theatre Royal in Nottingham in the 90's She struggled vocally and the whole show was a bit meh
  5. That's sharp and a bit devious....maybe he was an estate agent during the day. Effective though, if ruthless!
  6. Her fault for getting married on the night of a big fight!

  11. There's a guy on Facebook looking Tristan Hill. Check the Bass Players UK market group. He's in Nottingham
  12. That's where you plug into the mothership!
  13. You might not like his vocals (many do not it would seem) but he was central to their sound and so can't really be classed as a fifth wheel
  14. I think his edgy, unconventional and often 'thin' vocals sat very well with Johnny Marr's excellent guitar work, built on the foundation of a tight rhythm section So in this case, no, but a valid point to raise all the same
  15. Wow, that is the motherload of line ups! Apart from the obvious ones like Zethro Tull etc, I've just got into The Dave Mathews Band, who are big over the pond but virtually unknown over here
  16. Pre-relicc'd I see It might be a Hurricane by Morris Guitars. I'm only going on the machine heads - I have a Hurrican Morris Jap P-Bass and it had the same ones, before I changed them. They are shorter on one side than the standard fendery type ones. Anyhoo, hope that helps
  17. We use the one on google, which would be fine except that 2 of our band members never seem to look at it (or add their availability)
  18. Having said all of the above, I hear on the radio that Bjorn from ABBA is involved with launching a worldwide event where there will be a virtual ABBA show http://www.nme.com/news/music/a-virtual-abba-tour-is-set-to-take-place-in-2019-2139797 Are we moving to a world where all performances are virtual reality?
  19. Regarding artist 'interventions' it seems Peter Frampton has form https://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/peter-frampton-throws-fan-phone_n_5659157
  20. How very true. It's usually those in the band who don't get gigs who complain about there not being any gigs (and that they don't like the type of gigs that have been booked...but that's another story for another thread)
