1.
Brings to mind this joke: A guy ends up witA guy ends up with an older woman at a bar last. She looked pretty good for a 55-year-old. In fact, she wasn’t too bad at all, and he found himself thinking she probably had a really hot daughter. They drank a couple of beers, and she asked if I’d ever had a “Sportsman’s Double”? “What’s that?” the guy asked. “It’s a mother and daughter threesome.” she said. As the guy’s mind began to embrace the idea, and he wondered what her daughter might look like, he said, “No, I haven’t.” They drank a bit more, then she said with a wink, “tonight’s your lucky night.” They hopped into a taxi and went back to her place. When they arrived back at her place and they walked into the front door, she turned on the hall light and shouted upstairs “Mom… you still awake?” Except not even remotely funny.h an older woman at a bar last. 2. I've gigged a Status Buzzard once owned by Entwistle I played at an outdoor festival in Worcestershire in the 70's. Alexis Korner was headlining...he said we were sh*t (didn't meet him). My mate Harry, drummer from this band, has gigged with Robert Plant!
3. Sold a pedal to Ed Smooth n easy with no complications Deal with confidence Phil
4. For sale - no trades thanks - SOLD PENDING Exar Electronics Moby Dick MK-04 Bass Chorus £50 posted to UK + NI. This is a chorus pedal made specifically for bass and is handmade in the EU (well Poland in fact) It's in pretty much 'as new' condition with the original box (no psu). Takes a standard 9v one or battery A rare pedal which is extremely well made and produces a very nice controlable chorus sound. It's also small - roughly 3/4 of a Boss pedal size Moving it on as it doesn't get used See links below for sound samples and other stuff https://soundcloud.c...oby-dick-stereo http://www.exarelect...m/moby-dick.htm http://www.ovnifx.co.../mobydick.shtml £50 posted to UK + NI. Postage to Europe possible but ask me for the extra cost - thanks

7. Good luck with it...shame you have to give up, I'm getting very near the big SIX-OH and am thankfully fit enough for a few years yet. Have a great gig!
8. I think by asking the question, you've given yourself the answer.....which would be to lose the flag!
9.
Usually its because theres a cruel lack of adequate punctuation which makes reading their posts very difficult in fact some of the posts are so bad they just get skipped it does however create a tension which for some people seems to be resolved in grumpy replies not enough in jest for me I much prefer a light hearted approach not everyone has the same outlook though spelling mistakes and badly placed or worse still missing apostrophes has been know to send some folks barmy as has commas out of place never mind its all for fun you know as a line from a Marty Balin song goes
Eats, Shoots & Leaves
10.
I think new they are about $600 which for a custom built (half) bass I don't think is bad. There's a configuration page on their site where you can 'build your own'
I agree....might have to put that one on the bucket list
11.
Hi, Are the subs still available? Whereabouts in West yorkshire are you based? Thanks.
OP is in Halifax...I'm on PC so can see the profile bit
12. I had two BC212 with a TC BH500 head An excellent rig and the cabs sounded great and are fairly light. Should pick them up used for about £120 or less. Get covers if you're keeping them, the covering is easy to 'rash' Not as good a sound as the high end stuff but good for the price
13. What's the sound quality like? I tried an Alessis and didn't like the slight tone loss over a cable
14. A long time ago in a land far, far away (well Shropshire in fact) I had a lovely black Rick 4001 with the rare checkered binding....flogged it for £275 in the very early eighties. To me it was awesome but I didn't have much experience of basses then. Wish I still had it...along with the Matamp 100w head (stuffed with Mullards) I played it through...I seem to remember swapping that for a Peavey Black Widow combo. Should you be passing through my patch (Nottingham) and hear sighing, wailing and gnashing of teeth, that's me thinking about my old Rickenbacker! Enjoyed watching Dave's vid so thanks for posting
15. Sold a bass to Mark, straightforward no fuss deal - thanks for the buying the bass Mark...enjoy!
