  1. Played The Lion at Basford in Nottingham. Storming gig and lots of lovely comments from punters. New band member added - Betty, our drummer Allan's dog
  2. Bargain.... somebody buy this before I decide I need a back up to my backups backup
  3. Played The Shed in Leicester Friday night. Small but enthusiastic crowd and despite the on-stage sound being cr*p, out front it was good by all accounts.

  5. Had one, sold it, regretted doing so....time for a cogitate
  6. I'm not a fan of bass solos either, although I did enjoy one by Colin Hodgkinson during a gig for the Spencer Davies group - unbelievable string bending. I think Charles Berthaud has something good going on with the one I posted above and will be checking out more of his stuff. ...and Norman Watt-Roy is a genius for coming up with THAT bass line
  7. Agreed on this one. A minor story of 8 petrol stations closed by BP ramped up to a full scale crisis. At least it makes the government look bad so that's no bad thing in my book
  8. This is well worth a listen https://fb.watch/8fYIoZFR1L/
  9. Private party in the garden of a lovely Victorian house. Great audience, free bar and fantastic food. Plus the hosts son Lewis came and played 2 numbers with us - so cool
  10. Pair of well used but serviceable Citronic padded speaker covers for 15inch PA cabs. Well used, with some fraying on 1 seam, but all zips work. Cabs can be used with the covers on Price includes postage Random slipper not included
  11. Bought my ABM600 from Diego. Super easy transaction and a top bloke to deal with
  12. Noodled on one exactly like this in Richtone Music in Sheffield a few years ago and was very impressed. Lovely neck
  13. I have a Bass Collection Power bass (without the EMG's) It's a really great bass and especially for the money
  14. Cracking bass for the money. Bang a set of Fender custom shop pups in and you have a bass that will compare with the best US Fenders
  15. These are great basses and this is a good price
  16. Thanks Saw him twice more myself, at DeMontford and the Hammersmith Odeon Always put on a brilliant show, sadly missed.
  17. I saw Rory at Birmingham Town Hall, 23rd Feb 1973, 3 days after my 15th birthday. My first big gig. It certainly inspired me to carry on being in a band Found this bootleg on YT of the gig (claiming to be anyhoo)
  18. They do have a unique tone....very 'grand piano' All this talk of Ricks has made me gas for one 😲
  19. They look great and they have a distinctive sound. Other than that probably not a lot
