My current go to, which is a Mike Lull P4. Everything is right including the weight, the neck dimensions and how it feels around my not inconsiderable paunch. My cold dead hands bass

Last night's foray was O'Neill's in Leicester. A good crowd in who enjoyed themselves....still demanding more songs when we'd finished and run out of encores. We played well and apart for the odd glitch here and there, carried it off with aplomb. Here's a vid of 'Tenessee Whiskey'. The guitar solo in the middle is worth waiting for 👍 VID-20230828-WA0000.mp4 No fights this time although the police did cordon off a section of the street round the corner and some poor bloke was lying prone on the pavement 👀

Played the Queen of Bradgate in Leicester with the country band I've joined. This is the REM photo ( that's me in the corner 🤠). Great gig, lots of boogie-ing in the crowd and we played lots of country cheese, including "Country Roads" and ended up with 9-5, which is a lot of fun....we stayed on the intro for quite a while while the crowd worked out which song was coming. Turns out @Bluewine was not the only one in a cowboy hat 🤠. Oh yeah and there was a punch up half-way through the 2nd set 👍

I had a V2 5 string for a while. Great bass, well finished and not heavy. I'd recommend them but you'd probably find a Cort or an Ibanez for similar money. I think the string spacing is quite tight on the Sire. I have a Cort 5 string now for that reason. The Sire knobs are pants but that's a cheap and easy fix

Not quite the intent of the thread, but I went to see Vintage Trouble at the 02 Academy on Tuesday night. An awesome band with quite possibly the best frontman in the business. If you get the chance, go see them. Also, the bassist has an awesome Aguilar rig so much opportunity to nerd out -
