1. I've just got one and I like it. Read the manual for info re clean boost/overdrive. Love how EHX make age pedals for £40-100!
2. I can usually use TC Electronic RS210 x 1 for rehearsing with bands. I've just signed up to two bands from a hiatus of mainly playing learning and playing guitar, but back into bass full swing soon. As I've got a VW Beetle a 1x10 that can handle a rehearsal would make my life easier! I've used Ampeg 1x15 combos before for rehearsals (at the room) with a 3-4 piece band and had no probs. These bands won't be any louder.
3. As great as I want it to be, I can't help but thinking it's a bit boring and it has already been done (apart from 2 ohms but I'd never need it). Not sure why they wanted a voicing pot that just adds a mid scoop?!
4. How would this stand up to a 3-4 person band practice?

Just picked up an EHX Small Stone Nano. Very creamy, swirly, and warm. Lovely!
7. Jees, for £80 this little Roland is brilliant. Even the modelled higher gain guitar amps sound good. What a wonderful era of technology we live in. Old 1-15 W solid state amps used to be absolutely awful and weigh twice as much as you'd expect.
8. To be fair, nowt sounds like an Ampeg 8x10, especially behind you at pretty much full pelt, even with ear protection in. It might be a big old heavy design but it works.
9. OK, so the new Yamaha THR 100 HD isn't my thing, and way too loud. BUT, the THR10 is going to be revised soon apparently. As they aren't that cheap for small home practice, I decided to go ultra small/low wattage with lots of versatility: Roland Cube 10GX - works with bass, guitar and acoustic guitar. It's pretty basic but the amp is small, quiet and light. Perfect for home playing/recording, and no crazy price tag, (let's face it, I'd rather have the money invested in things that are gig worthy). £80 delivered! Arrives tomorrow (hopefully).
10. I'm keeping all my Genz gear. Genzler amplification has new cabs hitting the market soon with amps to follow. One of the Genz guys designed the new Mesa Subway. Probably won't appreciate in value but will hold decent value.
11. Wow...!
12. They may as well do another load at £199 for early adopters.
13.
Looks like the first ten have been snapped up already!
That is me out then...that was quick.
14. I don't need bass gear now, I have enough, but in terms of super light/small, that kills it. I might even just try one. I'm sure I could sell it if I didn't use it.
15.
In the USA Mesa probably sell directly to their dealers and provide support. In other countries, like the UK, there is a distributor and their dealer network all of whom have to make a profit margin and pay the cost of warehousing and distribution, local warranty support, in-country advertising and product promotion, exhibitions, etc. on top of the cost of buying and importing what is in effect a low quantity product. Bergantino seem to be different in that they sell directly to their in-country dealers.
I'd much prefer it if most manufacturers just sold direct to stores. I've barely ever seen an advantage (in my personal experience) with having a dealer. Depends if you've ever needed a lot of after sales care. When I mean discounts, I don't just mean MESA, I mean all brands. Sweet water etc often hand out 15-20% codes. We barely ever see such things over here. I've seen examples of profit margins with gear, even from dealers, and some of them are quite interesting to say the least.
16.
I appreciate that there's additional costs getting to into the UK, but that's just unfair. If I was able to afford a new amp anytime soon, I would've been interested in this, but not when it's such an obvious rip off. I appreciate that Mesa stuff could come with a premium, but why only to us chumps over here? Eude
Actually you are spot on. Plus the U.S. get a five year warranty. Don't get me started on the fact we barely ever see any kind of discount code/offer, which in the U.S. is a normal way of buying music gear. Greed.
17. http://www.musicradar.com/news/guitars/mesa-unveils-subway-bass-amp-and-cabinets-627175 Reasonable pricing for once!
18.
Anyone know if there are any new heads coming?
Apparently they are in the process, so yep, we will have them!
19. Nice ideas for the cabs.
20.
I use a THR10 for guitar and bass at home. Very good for both purposes, surprisingly effective for bass.
Sounds good to me!
21. Unfortunately I don't really like black guitars (I wouldn't say no if it was a great instrument, but I'd not choose it). So, a shame in my opinion.
22.
The THRs seem to be exceptional for a home practice amp - by reputation - though sadly I've yet to own one.
Apparently a new model is due but rumours are its more of a gigging combo.
23.
Has anyone ever heard or played a Strat with three P90s? I bet that would be a very interesting sound.....
Interestingly, Musicman make (and are about to discontinue) their Musicman Albert Lee 3 x MM90s. The original Albert Lee SSS is very Strat like. I have the HH model, and it is absolutely superb. Top of line quality IMO.
24.
God!
Which one?
