Thats incredible....some nice basses in that line up!

I asked Darren the other day and Bass Merchant are not going. Even though they are advertised, they cancelled a while back. Not enough bass related stuff for me to go. I hope its good though! I very nearly ended up going.

I actually like the clicking with certain types of music. A band called Face to Face had a finger style bass player and I loved his P Bass clicky sound!

Hey guys I’m going to get a cover for my Tecamp cabinet, but this is a more general question about import duties etc. If I order from a German store, do I pay German tax? The store are saying that I do. Will the product get charged any duties on its way into the UK? The cover is already £90 with delivery….ouch! I don’t want to be paying anymore. My problem is also that if I’m spending £90, I’ll probably be annoyed if it gets badly scuffed and scraped. If it’s horrendously expensive to import, I might go with a Roqsolid cover for £40 plus free delivery. They seem to be waterproof and padded with a soft lining which seems quite good for the price. Plus, the cabinet will be looked after anyway. Has anyone had any experience with the Roqsolid covers?

Dave[/quote] This is exactly what I am like....seduced by looks! hahahah Nowadays cabs look tremendous. I love looking at my Orange cabs and Aguilar cabs as they are cabs of beauty and they sound fantastic and totally different to each other. The Berg looks incredibly well made, and the new Tecamp is just brilliant....it really makes a difference to what you perceive of a product.

For moving about, the Tecamp M212! Very light. Very very loud and can produce a brilliant tone. For pure volume and clarity in a small 4x10 package, the HS410. Its gives you everythig you play...very very precise. For old school fat warm bass with a classic/vintage tone, the Orange cabs. Perfect for a Precision/Jazz. Crank the gain and its perfect for heavy music/punk. For a combination of vintage/dirty rock n roll with clarity and lots of artiulation, the Aguilar 212s. They also look very cool. Actually, so do the Orange cabs. Hmmm...I have too many....and I cant think which I'd want to sell...arghghg! Hope this helps!

I just wasn't into 15s until I bought my Orange. I really couldn't get on with others I tried. This cab suprised me....a lot.

I've tested it...there is a thread on here with the video. Cool and very light. Nice dirty sound if you want it, and can do the fat n clean as well. Solid Orange tone...not AD200b Mk3 Holy Grail tone, but damn good. I've got my guitar Dual Terror and PPC212 in Ltd 2009 White to pick up this weekend

Hey guys! Right, I have managed to source the Tecamp covers for the cabinets. They are quite pricey, but they do have front zips and an elastic part that keeps the covers on. I think they are probably the most intensely designed covers ever made! Now I can’t decide to get a Roqsolid one for £40 delivered or risk getting one from Germany and paying £90 + any charges it might get in the UK customs. Do we pay any duty on items coming in from Europe? It could work out at more than double the price, and in the end its going to get scuffed and marked anyway. Opinions?

I remember when people used to knock Japanese Fenders. They were wrong. Lakland/Sadowsky can make their basses cheaper this way, so everyone can try one... Not only that, they really do go over them. I've already waited 6 weeks for my JO5, and I'll wait another 3 months If I have to. Dan actually hand picked me the lightest one and then made sure the UK supplier were aware. Dan also mentioned it would be another 3-4 months before he had stock after the run he had in his workshop. I like that....

BUT, as of today me and the lady have had an awesome offer on a really upmarket flat in London, so it might be a case of having to sell it on or trade down for smaller stuff in the very near future. I think If I gig it though, I won't be able to part with it! Its so well built and so bloomin light! I also have a lot of gas for the Shuttle 9.0 and I can't have both really....Id have to wait now this flat has come up. Hmmm!
