I just think this has been what I've been searching for, very grateful for TGevans' review which I recieved through pm - and he kindly offered to let me test his G&L out. I thought I'd found this kind of versatility with the VL Lightwave I recieved from Happy Jack but I was worried about the optic pickups should they ever need servicing. The standard chromatic mode is very precise anyway...plus it looks slick and it's tiny! Personally TC are becoming one of my favourite manufacturers, despite them being mainly digital.

I think the fact its more accurate than my last pedal made me want to buy it, plus its got Polytune function! I probably wouldnt have gone for it until I realised how great TC gear is in general. I think they are trying to offer the industry standard tuner, (eg taking over Boss TU-2/3...but thats going to be tough going!)

If im honest Clarky, I have a sneaking suspicion the balls out rock tone of the Bass Terror might be a great option for you. I tested one out and it definitely breaks up nicely and weighs bugger all. Its simple yet effective and has some tubes, (I think!).

I think the general consensus that I found out was that a GOOD Skyline is very near a USA. But...Ive yet to find a really good Skyline that I wanted...apart from a Sunburst one in Bass Merchant. They all sound amazing to me, but like Ive mentioned before, recently their QC is worse than ive experience with Fender! I blame it on them becoming popular and the fact they are basically almost 2 years old before they get here to be sold. Thats my experience anyway. If I lived in the US, Id have a few Skylines without a doubt....Id be really picky but Id find them. Dave seems to have had some absolute belters. I recently looked at a 55-02...must admit it looked brilliant, but a little too modern for me. Price tag was also astronomical for a non-US built instrument.

Hey I want to run my Aguilar Tone Hammer, Sansamp BDDI, and Polytune for my bass rig. Guitar rig will be a 9v delay of some kind, reverb, and the Polytune. Instead of buying all the power supplies, Im gonna go for a power bank/block. Will the T Rex Fuel Tank Jnr actually be enough for the Aguilar Tone Hammer? (you can double two 9Vs but its 120 mA max.). I want a small and isolated unit. Anyone know the the Tone Hammer mA? Cheers Gareth

I think my budget will only allow a second hand Sadowsky...plus shipping from the USA just involves more costs and stress if it has to have anything done to it. Shame they dont have a UK 'port of call' so to speak. Im leaning more towards a full UK built instrument.

Get yourself down to the gallery at some point and have a tickle on them all![/quote] +1 I agree....its Sei/Overwater and very possible Sad USA (prob out of budget)...but if im honest, im attracted to getting a UK instrument that can be looked after by the manufacturer and setup every now and then. Not only that, you get 'more' for your money with a UK instrument. My only problem is that Im nowhere near London and its a HELLISH journey from up here to London. It would have to be a fast rain otherwise I just wont have the time. Ive got a few months to decide. Apparently Overwater isnt that far away....
