Right had some success,don't think the lighter gauge strings had much impact though. Took the part of the saddle with 2 grub screws out using 1.5mm Allen key,there's a wee grub screw at the front.Placed a file on flat bit of wood for support and filed it down till I reached the marks left by the wee grub screw,cleaned off any burrs and slotted it back in. Job done Remember to wind the height grub screws well up. E is now down to acceptable 1.75mm. Don't take the grub screw that holds the saddle out or you'll need to set your intonation again.It's the angled one at the back. Didn't take too long and if you take too much off those two grub screws will rectify matters for you. Let me know how you get on.

Both my Millennium BXP's have single saddles and are 1.25mm G - 1.5mm E but my BXP Cirrus is 2mm G -2.25mm E. Come to think of it my USA Cirrus is the same 2mm - 2.25mm. All I can suggest is maybe file down either the bottom of the saddle or cut a deeper groove in the die cast. No idea what that part is called ( saddle perhaps ?? ) You may need to drop the bridge pickup height. A wee check of other thru neck basses here told the same story but I wonder if a slightly lighter string gauge would help. BXP Cirrus needs a restring anyway so I'll do that tomorrow with a lighter gauge and post the outcome.

Fella I know bought T-bird's PB-50 with a Duncan SC in it. When I swapped out the Wilkinson for the SF I sent it to him over in Kenya. I'm in good company here A few of my beloved Peaveys getting a mention, Bass Collection & Retrovibe also getting a shout too. @jezzaboy Had my PB-50 couple of year now and still think it's a great bass,plenty basses been neglected since it came along I'll chip in with the Cort Curbow. Heard daft things before I got mine, " Luthite smells funny"?? , " it's uncomfortable playing seated". Never found either to be the case. Crackin wee bass,very easy to play. Mind you I don't go about " Sniffin the Base "

Passive Millennium @Paddy515 Looks like it's been discontinued as only the active models show on Peavey.com. Manualfor the 4 string is here. http://assets.peavey.com/literature/manuals/00582430_5.pdf No idea about dates though, Peavey lost the records after 1995 in a HD crash and the Far East models don't go by year ?? I'd say it's quite recent,older Indonesian ones have TR adjustment wheels.

Strange thing about basswood is Saxon & Viking warriors used Linden wood for their shields and Linden is another name for basswood.It's hardly balsa no matter what some claims are. The few basswood bodies I have are standing just as well as the chipped & dented mahogany,poplar,ash and alder basses here. Another thing is nobody with £2500 Steve Vai JEM guitars complain about it. I'd say nothing to fear from basswood.

Been a fan of Rotos for years.Nexus are on a few of my basses. Regarding the eBay prices,the firm that supplied the paper envelopes changed the paper to one that held moisture. That lead to problems,could be the eBay ones are the old stock. Just a guess.

Only ever seen them as International's Andy. Course Peavey do have form for this. The Form was a passive PJ, got dropped and came back as an active with VFL. Why the hell would they reuse the name ? It's more in keeping with Zephyrs or Korean Furys.

They got one of the easiest returns policy going so just return it but now you had it have a think it you want it replaced or a refund. @discreet It certainly is the fabled Peavey Super Ferrite. I gave up hope of finding another for a spare Foundation body that's lying around here,also hid the nasty mess I'd made attempting to fit a toaster.Hammer and chisel is not the best way to rout out a pickup
