2.
That is hugely good, really, really good
Thanks, Mr Dub, for your kind words.
 3. We've been down at Earth Terminal so check out the top three songs here and let me know what you think: http://www.myspace.com/sibillaband Cheers Doug
 4. Hi Chris, hope you're well. After reading your post, a slightly philosophical question crossed my mind re: about your (and players generally) expectations of basses. You mention that you've owned 15 P-basses (Kylie, Danni... ) and various top-notch others which seems to be a large enough sample to judge upon. If you haven't found "the one" after all these instruments, perhaps it's time to re-evaluate your expectations a little? I suppose it boils down to how your see your bass in relation to your playing: for me, I have a nice Jap Jazz as my mainstay. It plays feels, sounds and looks good and the onus is on me to improve (practice more, improve theory) not the bass. You mention you're looking for the "classic P sound - nothing more" but surely you've had that before? Anyway, just a little Easter food for thought - time for some chocolate... (GAS Disclaimer: I picked up a lovely 1979 BB1200 on here recently so shouldn't be too hypocritical! )
 5. I had a 414 in this colour - amazingly fast neck, light, great gigging bass.
 6. Hi ModLad, try posting in 'Items Wanted' - you might have more luck.
 7.
What happened to 'em? Eaten by mice?
They use mice to relic these, don't they? (Fender Custom mice, of course.)
 8.
If money was no object my shopping list would read like Lord of The Rings......
Few would ever reach the end?
 9. That looks much better - spaghetti junction has been tamed!
 10.
I Need to get a couple of my basses set up , there aren't many music shops in my area and so ive been considering Feline guitars in Croydon to do my setup (the repair person being a luthier puts my mind at ease a little) , has anybody used them for a setup before , how were the prices and was the setup done well ?
I had them set up and install new pups in a Jazz a few years ago, and was happy with their service. Did the work in a couple of days too.
 11. Kiwi's a Sabre man - drop him a PM
 12. Welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it and all the best with your playing.
 13.
Oh my god, I started this thread and just found I have a live Alison Krauss album on my external hard drive. I've been framed
Try the Pete Townsend defence - it was just research.
 14.
Yeah but that blokes well pricey,he takes his cut as well.
That's what I was getting at; I bought a 75RI Jazz from him last year for £450. The weak pound is taking its toll.
 15.
Far East Guitars occasionally have these in. For non-export models with US pickups, depending on condition they seem to be advertised around the £450 - £500 mark.
Not any more: http://www.fareastguitars.co.uk/usedbasses.htm Wowzer... hyperinflation!
 16.
Emmylou Harris, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Gram Parsons, The Flying Burrito Brothers, Steve Earle, Supersuckers, David Allan Coe, Lucinda Williams, Gillian Welch, Cowboy Junkies.... what annoys me though, is how most people seem to throw them all into one boat.

+1
+1 to everything above to which I could add Will Oldham, Carter Family, Calexico, George Jones and more. Country is no different to any other 'genre' of music - the good stuff is obscured by the commercial dreck on radio, cable etc. etc. So take it like a man, son... or we'll be round with pitchforks and torches before daybreak.
 17. Good looking bass. I'd have been tempted if I hadn't just acquired a BB1200. Good luck with the sale
 18.
Well... I do know what I want ^^ I'm just not great in explaining it... And I can't afford to go buying and selling basses for 2 - 3 years... My parents would KILL me I could try to explain em But they most deffinitly wouldn't understand xD ^^
Hi there, I have to agree with BassBunny and if you buy and sell sensibly, there's no reason why you'd lose money; that's what 90% of folks on here do with basses, amps, pedals... Hope you find what you're looking for.
 19. £350-400 seems to be the going rate for the better Jap Fenders - EDIT - sold on here recently.
 20.
Covers vs. originals vs. tributes, oh god here we go again. Have I slipped into some sort of Groundhog Day?
Aye, that was last Monday.
