1. Am I allowed another choice? That's funk right there
2. Very nice indeed: with that colour, pickguard and maple neck you better be funky boy, that's one PIMP of a bass. Got any bigger photos?
3. The P tone from 1.53 here That flute break at 3.52 is awesome too...
4.
Gonna put this on eBay soon I've had no interest whatsoever. Very surprised as I was under the impression that these were sought after. Maybe not ?
These are good, solid basses but there are lots of options in the price range you're asking for; that's my guess why interest has been limited. I bought a fretted Foundation (in worse nick, I must say) for £60 on Gumtree last year and it did me well for rehearsals - until the rehearsal place shut down suddenly, taking the bass with them... Anyway, good luck with the sale.
5.
Wot no pics?
It'll look like this
6. I have this exact model (same year) in sunburst with a rosewood board - lovely bass and mine has a super low action. GAS is a strange thing, isn't it? Good luck with the sale
7.
Manchester is quite central for a lot of people IMO but the listing seems to 'discourage' cash/pick-up.
And did you notice that he's bought and sold 2nd hand cars recently? As the saying goes...!
8. It's notable that this seller's two most recent feedbacks (from still active users) are also based in Manchester - hmm... Anyone asked if they can view/pay on collection?
9. That colour reminds me of the Protect and Survive graphics...
10. Excellent stuff, Jon, the new album sounds very promising. May we safely assume that a quality array of Japcrap is wielded during your live show?
11. Welcome but, most importantly, do you cover Matchstick Men? Tune.
12. Hey, we're all here for the coffee and biscuits deep down. Welcome!
13.
Had a lovely pair of 70's Fenders if I remember rightly.
Glad to hear he's ok, we miss his lovely pairs alright...
14. Yamaha BB1200 strung with 45-105 nickel roundwounds. 3rd fret: 0.9mm 12th fret: 2mm 17th fret: 2.7mm Low down the business end, less so up dusty end.
15.
its winnie the poohs bass
Excellent!
16.
Wooaah...what are you looking for in trades for something like that?
The GDP of a third world country, your soul or an internal organ will do. Wowzer... that bass is quite something. Good luck with the sale/trade.
17. Nice work, glad it's worked out well. I think the pots and wiring are the weak spot on the otherwise excellent Jap Fenders, but really cheap to sort out.
18. The notion of 'augmenting' our live act with some backing tracks came up in regularly in my previous band, often prompting a deep theological debate akin to the C of E debating the desirability of female clergy. Backing tracks in small doses - where their use solves an otherwise insuperable problem - is ok in my view but should be kept to a minimum. They do complicate gigging somewhat, too, and unless prepared well, can sound duff. This topic always raises a healthy debate: as Father Jack said, "That would be an ecumenical matter..."
19. Fine looking bass and good spec. Where did the pots etc. come from, is the cavity shielded at all and how much does the bass weigh? Sound clips would help your cause too, I'd say, being a custom instrument and all. Good luck with the sale.
20. Welcome, enjoy BC and glad to hear those fine instruments are seeing daylight and action!
21. What a beautiful instrument; good luck with the sale.
22. +1 comments above, this is extremely poor business. Mr Woods (made-up name for a luthier?) has just posted this update: Bulletin 8-18-09 I'll be updating my NEWS section with the next couple days. A lot of new shipments, And a lot of orders moving into shipping status. Also we are now able to do custom vinyl logos in-house. All of the neck orders with logos are getting that treatment this week and next week and will be shipping soon. Lots more to cover and I'll try to get the NEWS updated tomorrow night.
23.
I think he means it's too wide for the slot (so it won't slot in)
Spot on Wayne - the nut is a fair bit wider than the slot in the neck and, even if I filed down the sides of the nut, the E and G strings would be very close to the edge of the neck. It's a standard 1.5'' measurement. First time I've done this so I'm probably being dense...
