1. That's just lovely... smell the coffee and good luck with the sale.
2. Hi Pete I have SCNs in a passive Jazz and I like them, haven't noticed them being quiet (apart from less hum ) - have you tried raising the pups at all? In terms of hum cancelling alternatives, Nordstrand do some and I've used Bill Lawrence J-45s before which were excellent. Doug
3. Back to art school for her, I'm afraid. Nice idea though.
4. Excellent! Great job all round. What OG means is changing the text on YouTube so it makes the myspace link clickable. It should be like this - add the bit in bold: Promotional Music Video for 'lap it up' by Lounge Fly "FM buffed Trash-Rock NME Feisty female-fronted rock-pop Organ Magazine Outstanding Rick Wakeman, Planet Rock Fantastic 5/5 Black Velvet Magazine Edge and grit and an attitude that bites BBC Introducing http://www.myspace.com/loungeflymusic Filmed at The Daffodil restaurant in Cheltenham
5. Make it easy for potential buyers, pop some pictures up. Good luck with the sale.
6. I vote no: it gets in the way and looks weird with that checkerboard.

8. Oh no, GAS attack again... anyone got any soundclips of this? I've no idea what it sounds like.
9. We've been playing venues like Monkey Chews, Hope & Anchor and Red Room with a few different promoters (none involving us buying tickets, wouldn't touch anything like that). I agree with the earlier comment about finding like-minded bands or people to work with: our best recent gig was with these people http://www.myspace.com/beatrootrendezvous who provided a great venue (Queen's Head, Islington) and a ready-made packed room of interested listeners. We also put our own night on with friends (in two other bands) at the Miller, London Bridge - £60 total for sound man, PA and venue room hire = bargain. We're now sending a three-song EP (it's on our myspace page) around to bigger promoters and some labels, trying to take things to a higher level.
10.
I wouldn't rule it out completely. I like to play the odd gig like this, to tighten up our live performance, to meet new people, and because I quite like antagonising people who weren't expecting a band like mine. I guess the important thing is to manage your expectations accordingly.
+1 again. Huge difference between thoughtful promotion and "promotion", if you catch my drift.
11. Yes. If only it wasn't red, can't get along with red (or blue) basses for some reason; most other colours ok.
12.
I've never heard of the place either. The thing to bear in mind about gigs in London is that it's not so much the venue that you have to watch for, but the promoter. Very few venues do in house promotion and even those that do usually have outside promoters on certain nights. It's also worth remembering that few places have a walk up audience - those that do tend to be club nights that have a bit of a buzz to them. Given the review above and the fact that no one seems to have heard of the place it might seem that the only people you'll be playing to are the people the bands bring along themselves. But who knows - maybe the promoter has been busy cultivating a thriving little scene.
+1
13. Here's some info: http://www.fancyapint.com/pubs/pub2273.html
14. Excellent - gig that, I dare you!
15. Pictures of the actual bass will help your cause, as well as stating your location, and linking the youtube videos you mention. Good luck with the sale.
16.
nice bass in the 2nd verse
Yes, always liked this song and a great bassline - less is more.

18. Great looking bass. Anyone know why they put a 62RI pup in a 70RI bass? Just wondering.
