1. I have this model (oo-er) in sunburst and it's a corker.
2.
Ah now I know why the lady in the first pic doesn't look very happy
That's harsh, coming from a Swale resident. Anyway, lovely bass - good luck with the sale.
3. ... lovely. Good luck with the sale.
4. It's hard to make a living from music. Life is not fair. Somewhere a bear wanders into the woods.
5. I bought a BFM cab from Mark recently and it was an excellent transaction: the cab came promptly, superbly packaged and in great order. So, proceed with confidence.
6. Great tune, I agree, but I haven't worked it out myself. Must get to see AL soon as they should be excellent live.
If anyone here has heard this song, they will know how awsome the bassline through-out the song is. I was trying to learn to play it, but I can't find anything that helps me. Any of you guys know how to play it? Any help is appreciated.
7. This is lovely - have a bump on me. "If I had some spare cash..."
8. BUMP for new date.

10. Final SLY bump
11. Tull bump for lower price:
12. Hi I'm upgrading to a bigger rig so this has to go. It's a great combo for small gigs and rehearsals, and comes in excellent condition. It's almost 3 years old and has been used sparingly in that time. It's a comfortable one-hand carry over short distances, up stairs at gigs and so forth (your guitarist will still whinge about lifting it though, naturally). The carpet covering attracts a certain amount of fluff over time, but does its job in protecting the amp. N.B. this model does not have a compressor, unlike the latest version. However, it does come with a kettle lead I'm looking for £100 collected from SE London. You'd be welcome to try it out, of course, over a cuppa. Please PM me if you're interested. Here's the blurb and spec from Ashdown: Ashdown Electric Blue bass amplification loads legendary Ashdown tone into an affordable new amp head and a pair of high-performance, high-value combos. The EB 12-180 1 x 12" combo uses a 180 Watts RMS fan-cooled fast-transient power stage, and a fully-featured bass preamplifier with inputs for both active and passive instruments, an illumunated VU meter, 5 band EQ with Bright and Deep switches, a front panel-mounted balanced DI output for connection to a PA or recording console, an FX loop, a tuner/line output and the classic Ashdown sub-harmonic generator. A high-performance Ashdown BlueLine bass driver ensures exceptional attack, clarity and low-end performance, while an extension speaker output can be used to connect an additional cabinet for use in larger venues. The cabinet is finished in a tough, scuff-proof carpet covering with protective corners and a kick-proof metal grille. 13.
I no longer feel the need to buy and sell basses, honest!
Have you joined a cult? Welcome back, Chris, see you round.
14. Welcome along basskid.
15. Ah, Barry Adamson - you have fine taste. Ever checked out his solo stuff? Oedipus Schmoedipus is a great record. Welcome
16. Welcome aboard. What kind of stuff have you been playing?
17.
LOL, I'm the other one I bet! Sounds as if you're looking in the right places so one will turn up sooner or later
I've got a potential cellist lined up thanks to a BC chap... fingers crossed. Another case of this forum doing the business - cheers
18. Might be worth cleaning this thread up eventually into a sticky? Lots of useful info so far.
19.
I blame this it just stops people from actually picking up the cello.
Cello hero Thanks for all the good ideas. Phil, the email is sibillabandATgmail.com if your cellist is interested.
20. Tricky one this, but my London band is looking for a cellist. I've posted ads on-line, in Greenwich (where I live) and at nearby Trinity College of Music so far, but wondered if BCers had any other suggestions? Is there a cello equivalent of Basschat?? I imagine we'd get along rather well! Anyway, any ideas appreciated.
21. Maybe I'm going through a minimalist phase, but I'm very happy with my MIJ 75RI Jazz and EBS Microbass II. (No rig at present - don't drive and usually on public transport to gigs ) When GAS arises, I usually watch some YouTube and come back to earth (i.e. tell myself to practice more... )
22. Thanks for all the suggestions, I'll do some research now
23. I've been away so have just seen this deeply sad news. Sincere condolences to Steve's wife and family.
24. Thanks for all the suggestions. ardi100, did you mean to post a link with your message?
25. Hi everyone My band is looking for a new rehearsal space, with back-line (and ideally a piano/keyboard too) for hire. Location-wise, central/E/S/SE preferred. All suggestions welcome, thanks. Doug
