I'd buy one. Though I agree with many of the previous comments that £25 seems a little high. Why not take a punt and get a larger first print run? The total cost for 500 probably isn't much more than 250.

Once in 27 years (and the break was about 23 years ago). I recall that I was picking aggressively and close to the bridge. D string.

My wife is in a folk band and plays bass on 50% of there set plus my eldest daughter is learning bass. So, no bass haters at casa Nada. The only problem is that they can only play the short scale basses.

My very first combo did this. It still does it 26 years later but otherwise works just fine.

I have one those plastic boxes security firms use to carry cash around. It's super strong, spacious and the envy of many. I've been using it for over 20 years. I found it in the back of an abandoned shop (sadly with no cash in it).

How did he pay? If it was PayPal their buyer protection doesn't apply to items collected in person. Not sure that'll help, but it does give the buyer less leverage.

A red Marlin Slammer, bought second hand in 1989. I somehow managed to snap a small section off the pickguard of when I fell off a drummers Bass drum mid-song. I gave it away about 6 years ago and have come to regret it. I'm still a P-Bass man though. I've finally got round to doing this mod on my Squire Telebass. It does indeed tame the tone.

I've spent time thinking about this myself and I've come to the conclusion that the best thing to do is buy one of these Warmoth 8 String necks, which have a standard Fender pocket fit, and fit it a Fender/Squier body of your own choice. http://www.warmoth.com/Bass/Neck/8String.aspx Should come in around your budget too.
