  1. I think it’s a probably a Stingray thing. I’ve had close to a dozen stingrays over the years and had this issue on 2 or 3 of them. Was never a big issue but a bit of an oddity compared to other basses that never suffered.
  2. Recently bought some DR strings off Ben, i believe his fastest sale on here? Came on the Marketplace looking for some strings, ideally DR's and voila they popped up and i swooped in -makes a change as i always miss such things! Ben's a top chap, sent quickly too - all good here
  3. I got lucky - under 8lbs! Thanks GuitarGuitar - fast delivery and a decent bass too…back of the net 😁
  4. Cheers all - I pulled the trigger earlier today on one of those Sadowsky express budget ones. Typically above my budget so hoping it turns out ok and isn’t reminiscent of their first dodgy batch.
  5. Many thanks - never heard of Peach Guitars. Those Squiers sure look nice, I think I’ll give them a call.
  6. So, i'm in the market for a 4 stringer jazz bass - budget is £400 tops, but quite happy for a £150 Harley Benton if it fits the bill. I've scoured the For Sale section for a while now, however sadly pretty much everything is coming in over my weight limit - i have the glass back syndrome and have been used to gigging basses under 8lbs, even including my 5 string. I've already got a Sire Jazz and switched the V7 body for a V3 to make it lighter...it's still heavy! I'm open to active or passive...key requirements = awesome for the money + lightweight - GO! Any suggestions for a guaranteed lightweight jazz bass.???....already have decent straps and a disastrous history with a router Cheers all.
  7. I've been playing a bit of Dub & reggae over the years and always been happy with a Markbass setup. Perhaps my favourite head of all time though was the Eden WT800. The Markbass LMT amp and a ported 4 x10 is sweet, phat and lightish to carry.
  8. Hi, how heavy is it, do you have a weight? Cheers
  9. Well I think I scooped todays local bargain - Brand new Gear4Music Acoustic bass (not half bad after a bit of fettling), TFI gig back and best of all 2 x brand new packs of unopened Dunlop strings in my usual gauge…all for the princely sum of £50 and a 45 minute drive 😁😁😁😁

My Harley Benton sounds sweet with Flats...

  10. All you need is an MT40 (many a good tune) - Loving the yard style!
  11. Thought I’d lost this but found today down the back of the book case. Anyhow no longer needed so up for grabs is this lovely Trace Elf amp bag. £20 collected, happy to post at cost.
  12. Bought off here a few months back but unfortunately the DB i had planned for this to go on got damaged in transit and the purchase never went ahead, so sadly never got to use this. Looking for what i paid and happy to post at cost. £75 + P&P (Trades, maybe interested in a micro amp i.e Bam 200).
  13. Markbass amp bag, suitable for LM size amps. All functional. £25 collected + £5 postage in the UK.
  14. My Zon Legacy, 7lbs of back joy and funk tone to die for 😁
  15. Could try BTNMusic.co.uk - they’re my go to.
