Shame you’re not Devon way. I have my redundant ‘Fartke’ cab sat collecting dust in the garage. It was a 2x15” Hartke with the aluminium cones. I ended up putting 3015LF speakers (Eminence I think) inside which worked well. It even has castors and painted red, Gold & green…it would cause Jah Earthquakes!

Bland NYE gig in Cornwall. I did think it was a tad risky doing mostly ska & new wave originals in a pub full of partying young locals, especially as the majority of the material isn’t known or released. No surprise that the covers went down well. Obligatory rig pic, loving my lightweight Sandberg - no back pain!

No affiliation with the sellers but the Peavy Cirrus BXP or the Yamaha TRB in the for sale section by a country mile.

That's really helpful, thanks for that

Wish Sire would do a lightweight range. Most Sires I’ve owned have been wonderful but all have also been weighty boat anchors.

Absolute genius. Saw him with Shakti & Mahavishnu John M. Was possibly the most magical thing I have ever seen. Sad to hear of the passing of a virtuoso.

Any BCers released a Christmas song this year?

Ha ha, funny seeing this post. We put this cheese together a few weeks ago…a million miles from what I’d usually do 😂 -
Just bought an SD Compressor from Dave. Perfect transaction all round and Dave is yet another excellent basschatter - full trust here.

Shoulder injury and non-improving back issues have led me on a journey to ultralightweight basses, i.e., below 6.5 lbs, which is reluctantly why I am now sadly selling this beauty. It is actually quite lightweight, at only 8.3 lbs, but I have become accustomed to my ultralight (Spector RST) basses now and a new Sandberg SL. This Stingray is funking Chic awesome and was my main gigging bass throughout 2023 and early 2024 - I think the bass is a 2018. I do love this bass and will regret it when it is gone, no doubt, but needs must. Proper Stingray growl! It probably has 2-3 small user marks, but certainly nothing that sticks out and are in the pictures—it's actually in excellent condition, TBH. The Ska sticker is easily removable. It also has a D tuner with the original tuner included, as already stated it is a lightweight bass, low action on a silky super smooth roasted maple neck, DR strings (I think), beautiful grain, and an MM case with the MM case candy. Sale only please. I'm in Plymouth and happy to courier at cost to buyer. Bargain- £1600

Selling this Cort beauty that I've loved owning. It was top of the range circa 2002, around 8lb in weight and sounds awesome with the Mighty mite pickups. It's uncannily similar to a few Skyline Lakland jazzes that I've previously owned of that era, after all they did come from the same Korean factory I believe. A few scratches with age but nothing tragic - player wise, it's a ‘good un’ as they say and a real bargain, too. The buyer will be happy indeed with the quality. £200 + postage or collect from Plymouth.
