  2. Groove remains a mystical concept…even after several pints!
  3. Price drop - £200 for 800W of Markbass power!
  4. Bump before feeding to the FB rats 😂. Will consider offers.
  5. I used it with both 8 ohm and 4 ohm 15' and 2x10" cabs, mainly Markbass cabs in my case - sounded sweet.
  6. Markbass & VEYRON NOW SOLD 1) Markbass LM800 - a few crackly pots and makes a strange but quiet noise upon turning off, not intrusive but a high pitch oddity. When fired up it works totally fine and has been gigged like this for some time. Now surplus due to new purchase. £200 or £220 with Markbass bag. 2) SOLD Bugera Veyron Tube, Collect from Plymouth, Devon or £10 courier in the UK.
  7. May also consider a Warwick, Fender, Sire, Limelight or Sandberg basses or anything quirky custom or Markbass traveller cabs in trade and cash differences, ideally need at least £800 my way 😊
  8. Well, think I’m in - got an oldie ABM300 yesterday. Pretty impressive so far.
  9. Sounds a good bargain at £250 - quite tempted. I very recently got the Unity 700 head and have been super impressed by it, great sounds.
  10. I got a Sire V7 mk2 a few months back ~ definitely one of the best jazzes I’ve played (and I’ve played way too many). They’re bloody heavy though, mines just under 10lbs. They can often be had 2nd hand for under £400. I’m still blown away with the quality at this price point and the preamp is brilliant.
  11. My lovely Special is now up for sale as since I’ve had my 74 P I’ve barely touched it and it’s way too good to be a wall decoration. I’ve had the bass from new in late 2018. For full disclosure the body was replaced by Ernie Ball USA last year due to the previous having an ‘ash bora beetle’ infestation. Turns out there was a few basses affected by this infamous little bug that had a penchant for a specific type of ash. Ernie Ball were truly amazing in sorting everything out, excellent customer service throughout. The whole bass was then checked over and set up with the new body by UK Ernie Ball reps and as such the body really remains pristine. It will come with the correct D-tuner (cost me £120), Musicman original case and the case candy + original tuner. Plays amazingly, lots of tonal versatility from the 18v preamp. There’s a small dink on the head stock and a tiny spot on neck (see pics), otherwise in excellent condition. The Om transfer on the pickguard is easily removable if so desired. Being the special it’s a lightweight bass in comparison to its predecessors, I think 8.5lbs from memory. Also I don’t think they do the Aqua sparkle colour anymore so here’s a chance to get ‘the one’. It’s a proper funk machine and by far the best Stingray I have owned. Looking for £1650 collected, willing to work with buyer on courier options but buyer will be responsible for costs/insurance. *Possible trades but will need at least £1k cash my way - lightweight jazz bass (under 8.5lbs), Barefaced One ten, Sterling Ray 34 or similar, Sub stingray, either US or the recent cheaper ones.
  12. Stunning, you’ll love it. I have a 74 and it sure feels like the holy grail.
  13. I opted for, and received, the Blackstar Unity 700 yesterday so am putting it through its paces before a NAD post, however initial impressions are very, very good albeit it’s bigger/heavier than anticipated-but then I never checked the sizing specs - tone really is superb though, dare I say a class D with heft and lots of versatility. I do also have plans to potentially get a ABM 300 next month in a trade with a mate as still quite keen to try the ABMS.
  14. Ahh, just noticed this sale. My old bass. It’s an absolute cracker and with the new mods it’s perfect. I really enjoyed this bass a lot, very versatile and great tones to be had. The new buyer will be super happy 😊 GLWTS
  15. Just about to get back on the reggae train with a few select local reggae muso’s…here’s a beauty put forward for the set ❤️💛💚
  16. Selling my trusty Markbass combo as I've gone more modular with my setup and haven't used this for the last 2 years. These are really great combos, very loud, fantastic sounding (used a few times with an 8 piece soul band at 2/3rds with ease). I also have the 801 as i was so impressed with this combo. 250W at full power. One hand carry (perfect for those function gigs). Has a cover. Handle has worn - see pics but functions perfectly and is easily rectifiable but it never bothered me. Selling £300 or trade for any of the following with £ adjustments as necessary: Barefaced One 10 cab Trace Elliot 1x10 Elf cab Blackstar unity 700 bass head Aguilar TH500 bass head Markbass Vintage bass head Ashdown ABM 600 bass head Collection from Plymouth or happy to discuss courier arrangements.
  17. Could quite consider this. When I think of depth and weight to my past sounds it always been a non class D amps (Eden WT800/550’s I’ve had spring to mind). With my budget I could potentially save a few more pennies and still get the Blackstar and an ABM - think I’d look to get a used ABM first - cheaper the better…if it’s love I can put the Blackstar on the back burner. Hmmm, hunt for an ABM is looking keen
  18. I’m getting intrigued about these so will do some more research. I take it these aren’t class D? Are they heavy to carry? Just wondering how it would go with my Markbass cabs.
  19. Anyone use a Markbass Vintage? (Or selling)
