Sire P5 Precision bass - 6 weeks old. Only selling to recoup some monies on a recent expensive purchase. These Sire P5's are really fantastic basses, especially the rock-solid roasted maple neck with a rolled-edge fingerboard, medium-sized frets, open-gear tuners, string through body and a genuine bone nut. I also asked Andertons to send me the lightest they could and this one is 8.4lbs. I have also fitted an excellent Tonerider pickup for a more mellow vintage tone as i found the original Sire had too much high end treble for my liking; happy to swap this back though if preferred. The gold pickguard is just simply a vinyl wrap over the original Tort pickguard and can be easily removed should the buyer wish. Comes with a generic gig bag. No trades thanks. Can be couriered at cost or collect from Plymouth. Courier will be around £25 ish. Bargain at £300, cost £410 only 6 weeks ago.

SOLD Cheap but certainly a very cheerful preamp. A mate tipped me off about these and i was super impressed! Bargain for £30 - only a few weeks old, sold bass that i was using it with and my new jazz has a pre already fitted. Has seperate gain control to tame it, controls are vol, blend and stacked bass & treble. Blurb: 2 band preamp/tone control w/ adjust gain for JB bass. 1 Set JB2A Preamp/tone control (With Jazz Bass Control Plate + Control Knobs). This preamp features an adjustable gain which allows you to boost the input signal up to 15dB while maintaining flat frequency response. This preamp is a tone control preamp with very low noise and wide boost/cut range. The sound is extremely clear and transparent. Distortion is well below 0.001%. P&P an extra £5 in the UK.

Excellent used pick ups,: £65 collected , £70 posted Blurb: The hum-cancelling Ultra Jazz™ takes a traditional Fender® Jazz Bass® sound and really opens it up. Lows are deeper, highs are more percussive, and the mid-range is round but not muddy. Harmonic overtones jump off the strings. It’s also quick; with instant response to either fingers or pick-style playing. There’s only one word for this combination of qualities: “musical”. Choose the perfectly matched Ultra Jazz™ Pair, or try an Ultra Jazz™ Bridge pickup with a Split P™ in the middle position. The appearance of the Ultra Jazz™ is traditional, but the wide dynamic range and frequency response of the hybrid magnetic structure allows both vintage and modern sounds. As with the Model J™, hum canceling is achieved with each coil sensing a pair of strings, rather than a stacked design; even with a relatively high DC resistance figure, the Ultra Jazz™ has very strong, percussive highs and clean lows.

SOLD These basses need little introduction, believe the hype - easily on par with a Mex Fender +++ I'm selling this King Crismson red Jive bass as I've recently acquired a Maruszcszyck jazz. I've A/B'd them both extensively the last 2 days and the Maruszcsczyck is the lighter of the two which ultimately is better for my back pain, but regarding sound and playability it really was a close one, there is truly a lot to like about this bass. Mrs Raslee is also pointing out i seem to have a few more basses than usual lately...ahem! The Jive was recently for sale here at £250 which is what i am looking for, a total bargain for what you get. I have however since changed the pickups for Dimarzio's Ultra jazz and fitted a Guyker 2 band preamp, vast improvement in the sound department - it literally sings now and has loads of bass tone on tap -can do vintage to modern easily. 9.2lbs on the scales so really not bad. Low action, excellent condition and the mint pickguard goes lovely with the dark red colour. I will sell the Jive with these mods for £325 or can return it standard for £250. If buying with the mods i will add the original pickups and passive bellplate to the sale. Comes with hardcase or gig bag - your choice.

Yeah I'm very happy with the LMT so far. I did my first gig, albeit mainly acoustic set up, last night and had a sweet tone with my P5 and a Markbass Traveler 102 (2x10) - warm and defined. Not really noticed a boost as you suggest but then i left it mostly on Tube last night, and a bit of VLE at 10 o'clock, low mids at 2. The Sire P5's are really great for the money, i bought it mainly as a back up to my 74P. I've since changed the stock pickup to a Tonerider I had in my parts draw and its tamed the high end a bit - was a bit nasally for my liking, great bass though and a lovely roasted neck.

Got mine earlier this week - yup, I like this one!

Good to know as I bought a LM tube 500 today. Had a few Markbass amps, including the LM tube 800 which I sold on in search of a different sound…came full circle to my favourite amp again today.

Never owned a G&L but always been intrigued. Is it heavy? Sure i read somewhere that G&L can be in the upper weight range. Cheers

REDUCED £600 Got this a few week ago in a trade and as much as I like how it's built and the looks, the sound is not doing it for me - think i'm probably too used to my P basses now. I did think about spending a couple of hundred on a different pre and possibly some pickups but then i thought I'd try sell it on first - if it doesn't sell then i'll mod it at some point. One of the tuners broke shortly after I got it, fortunately i had a spare Warwick tuner but this is chrome where as the others are Gold. I've added bigdumbys original add below as the pics are much better than i could ever hope to achieve (hope this is ok). As stated the bass is a player, plenty of gig scars but plays great - see the pics. I've put new Roto's on too as this is my preferred strings. Trades, 4 string Stingray esq bass, Ray34 or Sun plus cash my way, light jazz under 8.5lbs perhaps - try me though i'm open to many ideas , P's/J's, quirky basses - cash deals either way as i don't mind a cheaper bass either..... just don't need a 6 string bass. Sale: Was £625, Now £600 + P&P or collect from Plymouth. Original add here:

Happy to discuss courier options as I have some boxes but this would be at buyers risk, or collect from Plymouth Devon. May px plus money from me for a cheap ish Markbass amp or mini amp I.e Gnome or TC.

So we have a rare New Zealand made Stonefield bass guitar speaker 6.5 inch., lightweight, 150-200Watts and including a very handy Roqsolid carry bag. Has a series and parallel switch. Excellent piece of kit for acoustic gigs, practicing or for the upright - See here: https://www.stonefieldmusic.com/collections/amplifier-cabinets/products/amp-cabinet-6-5-inch-mighty-mini Collection from Plymouth or happy to discuss courier options. From Stonefield website: Dimensions: 12.5" high x 10" wide x 7.25" deep / 31cm x 25cm x 18cm Usable Frequency Range: 55 to 5000hz Recommended Input Power: 150W (max input 200W)

I’m on my second Elf. Really didn’t get on with the first one, but since realised it was due the cab I was using at the time. Second one I got in a trade a few months back and paired it with a new and cheap TC208 and instantly fell in love. I then read a lot about the Barefaced One too…the rest as they say is sweet history and my back loves it too 😊 -
SOLD - Be the one man band with…… Digitech SDrum - strum multiple drums on your bass such as verse bridge chorus and loop away. You can literally tap your drum pattern on the strings 😊 It really is the ultimate drum machine/looper that I shamefully never really had the time to fully learn - plenty of YouTube vids around using. Sale is including the manual, not sure I have the box still but will check £90 Digitech JamMan Solo XT stereo looper - also syncs with the Sdrum which is great fun for a one person band, can save loops to a memory card too - great looper! £75 Digitech FS3X Footswitch - gives multiple options for switching the above (in box) - available for £10 extra with any of the above pedals or will throw in free if buying both pedals. Happy to post, but P&P will be added, otherwise collect from Plymouth. Thanks for looking.
