  1. I bought one of the JB basses from Guitar Guitar a couple of weeks back. Weighed it at 4.5kg/9.9lb. It has a different tone from the JB-2 with the same pickups and controls and the bridge pickup is closer to the bridge on the sunburst JB (60s vs 70s?) I am a late convert to black blocks and binding on a maple neck but it looks great with the sunburst and black pickguard. My one has some unusually heavy figuring in the ash which I’m not 100% sure about on a burst finish but that aside I can’t fault the bass. It and an LB-100 will be my gigging pair when (if) everything returns to normal.
  2. Just bought Gerry’s G&L Tribute Kiloton from him. Gerry took my Zoom MS60B stompbox in part exchange. Straightforward meet up and deal done. As usual top fella to deal with🙂 I have now had three Tributes from Gerry and it’s fast becoming the norm for his G&L’s to head south thirty miles down the coast to me.
  3. Basically just taken out of box and tested. Up to 4 fx at once. 50 memory locations. Boxed with instructions. Payment by bank transfer or PayPal gift please. £50 + £5 RM signed for

  5. I’m working nightshift but I can measure them for you later today
  6. Looks great in black. I have the same in white with a maple board. It has a great neck, is very light, very ergonomic and like the OP said, it seems to sit in a mix without any trouble. The only thing I could see being an issue for someone looking for a nice P bass or derivative is the nut width. It’s somewhere between a P and a J. Personally I love it and my G&L LB-100, also with the split humbucker, with a more traditional nut width, feels like a bit of a cricket bat by comparison.
  7. **SOLD** 2019 G&L Tribute JB-2 in Sonic Blue In great condition, plays excellent. I’m only selling as I am after a Tribute with a pickup arrangement different from J/J Colour of the bass is hard to capture in photos and looks more blue than in the pics. The very bottom pic looks most like the colour in person. No issues with the bass. ** SOLD** Payment by bank transfer. Audition/collection from Ayr observing social distancing rules. Will pack up for delivery if buyer arranges carrier. Thanks for looking! 8. Picked up a pair of Tributes in the last week. Jezzaboy sold me his LB-100 and and I bought the sunburst JB from Guitar Guitar. The third bass is my sonic blue Tribute JB-2.
  9. Mooer Ana echo. I believe it’s a Boss DM-2 Analogue delay clone. Second one of these I’ve owned - reason for sale is my Zoom MS60B pedal. Some marks on the side of the unit. No box unfortunately but will be well packed for shipping. £25 + £3 postage PPG

  14. Alessandro bought my G&L Tribute JB-2 off me a few weeks back. Paid promptly and arranged pick up, letting me know when it had arrived. Thanks Alessandro for an easy deal. Cheers!
  15. Forgot to post up that David bought my USA Ovation Elite bass a couple of months back. Seamless transaction with no issues. I knew it would be like this as I have bought and traded with him a couple of times before. David is a gent and a credit to this forum
  16. Just bought Gerry’s G&L Tribute LB-100 Bass. We had a socially distanced chat about all things bass while doing the handover. Have bought, sold and traded with Gerry a few times before so knew the bass would be exactly as described and the banter would be good. The guy is an absolute gent and a credit to this forum. The bass is superb btw. Thanks again!
  17. Never owned a Cort before, but since the start of this year I now have a couple of their Jazz basses - a GB99F and a GB75JH. Both are great lookers/players, are set up brilliantly well to my liking, and can hold their own against other more expensive instruments I own. The sunburst GB99 now has a Roland GK3B pickup for synth/modelling duties and gets played a lordly amount. The five not so much but that’s got more to do with the number of strings and not the guitar itself.
  18. Another vote for the G&L L-1500. The one I had was lairy!! I have owned a few Stingrays and briefly owned a Wal Pro IIe and a Thumb 4 neck thru a long time ago. I don’t remember much about the Wal and tbh, I couldn’t really pick between the Ray and the Thumb as they sound very different. But I do recall that my Thumb was more aggressive sounding than the Streamer Stage 1 that preceded it and I’ve always found USA Sterlings more aggressive sounding than Stingrays (Ceramic magnets vs Alnico?)
  19. I have the BTC circuit paired with the EMG40DC pickups in my recently acquired G&L L5500. I love the clear and focused sound but the combination of pups and preamp is very unlike any other G&L I ever owned or played and reminds me a lot of the Spector Euro basses I owned a decade ago.
  20. Love my mint green Ray34CA 😍 I’m not sure whether it’s anything in particular but in my humble opinion these ones feel just a bit more special than the regular Ray34/35 (as good as those are) GLWTS!
  21. Bought a Boss VF-1 half rack multi FX from Peter at a great price. Great bit of kit and in excellent condition too. Peter was very helpful throughout and a pleasure to deal with. I have done a trade deal with Peter previously and this one went exactly the same ie without a hitch.Peter is a stand up guy and a credit to Basschat. thanks once again! Keir
