1.
It's actually made in 1979 if that helps you?
Apologies I just spotted my typo. I meant to say that the model number for a SB is '1992'
 2.
I don't see how, when you could search the Marketplace here.
A good point lol
 3. Was it made in 1992? - Just thought I'd ask as the the model number for a Super Bass is 1992! Quick search of eBay listings for sold kit doesn't really help much, but if I were to guess, £800 for a more modern unit? I have a rare '68 Super Bass and it has been valued by Marshall at nearer £2k. I wish I could help further! http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=1992+marshall+super+bass&_in_kw=1&_ex_kw=&_sacat=0&LH_Sold=1&_udlo=&_udhi=&_samilow=&_samihi=&_sadis=15&_stpos=NR180FF&_sargn=-1%26saslc%3D1&_salic=3&_sop=7&_dmd=1&_ipg=200&LH_Complete=1
 4.
I don't think my wife would even notice if I sold all my gear and it disappeared overnight. She is 'actively disinterested', which results in me playing less and less.
Think my partner would be happy to see it all sold and for me to get 'a real job'. Which results in my playing less and less.
 5. Crickey! Nice bass! - If it is anything like the Vigiers I have reviewed or the one's you've let me play Ped, then this is quite a catch!
 6. But I do totally agree that Thunderbolt is brilliant. I've recently changed from a Roland USB Interface that was great, to a new Clarett interface from Focusrite. The performance on my relatively old iMac is absolutely mind boggling. Those published latency figures across Thunderbolt are, even for my machine pretty bang on. I'm having fewer issues processing 48+ audio tracks all with top spec plug-ins running on every channel. Very pleased indeed. Can't say enough good stuff about it.
 7.
The problem with USB on the Mac is that the bus structure is quite convoluted, so that your USB interface may be sharing the bus with other devices without you knowing it. And just because you have multiple USB ports doesn't mean that they are separate buses. From the photo it looks as though you have the same MacBook Pro as me - (13" Mid 2012). Looking at the bus structure in the System Profile there are 2 separate USB buses - but one already has the keyboard, trackpad, IR receiver and Bluetooth controller attached to it, and the other has the built-in FaceTime camera. Also despite the fact that the Mac supports USB3 on one of the buses, this is ultimately connected via an internal USB hub to one of the main USB2 buses, so despite supporting the USB3 protocol the speed will be throttled back to USB2. And every other USB peripheral that you add will be competing for USB2 bandwidth. That's why FireWire and Thunderbolt are always better options on the Mac.
I know that the ports are connected to a USB hub and know that traffic will be shared between devices, that's not unusual at all - but going to the effort of having a USB3 host on board, but still throttling it back to USB2? Then in theory, data transfer tests should deliver similar results on USB2 and USB3 ports. I'm just not sure that I buy that for *all* hardware. Maybe some architecture that bridged the gap between USB2 and USB3. I'd love to see that in some detail. It just seems totally counter-intuitive and no business sense for up to date hardware.
 8. Sale Pending, thank you Alex! Now to sell the TC BH800!
 9.
Love my dingwalls ..great bass ..such a bargain ...glwts Dan ...if only I had a couple of grand spare ...
Yes, I really really really can't go any lower on the price. List of over three grand, this 2015 model is going for a serious price drop considering all of the extras it comes with. I've listed them on the first page for those who might be interested! Anyone with any questions please do not hesitate to be in touch - Welcome those wanting to come try out the bass too, though this week I'm offering a quick sale price. I would not sell this bass unless I had to, so know that it is a highly regarded, highly rated, absolutely premium instrument!
 10. The wee screw on the side of the pot is to hold the knob on. If you undo the screw the knob can come off. Underneath that you will find a nut and hopefully a washer that is holding the pot in place by way of a thread that is coming through the hole in the pickguard. Sometimes it is possible to tighten that nut in situ, but I would prefer to pop the screws out of the pickguard (safe to do) and gently lift the corner up so you can get your fingers in to hold the pot still whilst you tighten up the nut with a spanner. Don't over-tighten. If you are going to that effort, you might just want to also make sure that no wires are being pulled tight or look frayed around the solder tags on each of the pots - if you can see. It doesn't hurt to take the strings off and carefully lift the whole guard off, but when you reseat it, make sure all of the wires sit back in their channels safely so they don't get squashed by the pickguard when refitted. I recently had a chap bring his American P over which had died on him. Turns out the previous owner had being tinkering with the electronics, caught a wire and over time it cracked.
 11.
Your awesomness knows no bounds pal and you've won basschat today, lovely gesture.
Absolutely yes. How wonderful!
 12.
hiya dood i will have please...... where are you? alex07899906613
Will send a PM Alex!
 13. 3 Way Switch and cable included. Which is £65 at GAK! Plenty of reviews out there , all positive: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bh800
 14. Whilst my Dingwall bass is up for the chop, I must continue the cull elsewhere and thus your opportunity to grab some bargains. Online price looks to be around £450, WITHOUT the foot switch (£65) so priced to sell quickly. EXCELLENT AMP! Yet another favourite amp that I'd hang on to if I could, but alas a car service sitting on my credit card needs shifting quickly! The TC Electronic BH800 is a brilliant 800W amp with a built in tuner and your choice of built in effects, controlled via the included 3 way pedal. Perfect if you only gig with a couple of pedals - You can leave those at home now and chose your favourites, load them on via computer or smart phone app (which is brilliant by the way) and off you go. For me, a bit of chorus and a bit of octave, but you could easily have two different chorus effects, or phase, or octave and drive etc etc. The whole lot is super lightweight and mine has always lived in a soft case / laptop bag. Should also be noted that this is actually 800W, verses the discussions about the power management of the RH series. I don't want to sell this either but needs must. 15. Stunning little interface, Rock solid drivers!! £85 including postage in the UK - maybe a bit more to send overseas, of course.
 16. Whilst my Dingwall bass is up for the chop, I must continue the cull elsewhere and your opportunity to grab some bargains. Another favourite amp that I'd hang on to if I could, but alas a car service sitting on my credit card needs shifting quickly! The LH1000 is a valve preamp'd dual 500W or 1000W bass head which is stable bridged down to 4 ohms. I've ran the LH1000 in to my Barefaced Big Twin II at rehearsals with no problems whatsoever. Those in love with the LEAD SLED and honest to good huge power supplies and real man's power transformers are going to love this amp. It's also dead simple to use with an ultra musical valve preamp - which is more than a nod to a certain Alembic preamp, Trace V-Type and BBE B-Max Tube pre amongst others and we know how good they sound!

Dual Parallel mode offers 2 x 225 watts at 8 ohms, 2 x 320 watts at 4 ohms, 2 x 545 watts at 2 ohms
Bridge mode offers 750 watts at 8 ohms, 1,100 watts at 4 ohms
Classic 12AX7 Class A tube preamp circuit
Bass and Treble shelving, Mid-peak EQ controls
Selectable Brite and Limiter switch with LED indicator
Balance control blends level of A and B outputs
Front panel balanced XLR direct output
Rear panel 1/4" Effects loop
1/4" and Twist & Lock output connectors
2-rackspace metal chassis with steel faceplate and handles
Switchable power supply for world use
Front fan filter - No dust inside!
Here's the manual for full details: http://www.samsontec...es_OM_EN_v2.pdf It's in great condition and has been well looked after. I don't really want to sell it if I'm honest, but as I need to, it's a bargain waiting to be grabbed. Here's two massive pictures for you to enjoy
 17.
Uber cool....
Thank you Col!
Bargain!
vs £3159 list and a 2015 AB1 3X? Yeah you're not wrong lol!
 18.
Peavey Grind. I do seem to be saying that rather a lot.
Yes, the Cirrus basses were pretty nice too - I think they're making a return too.
 19. When Doves Cry by Prince.
 20.
..and fixed - big thanks to Sibob!
Awesome!! What was the fix in the end? - Pleased to hear it's all sorted! It's all smooth motoring from now on eh!
 21.
I have. It is a lovely piece of kit. The eq is very responsive making it really easy to dial in what you want, especially with the movable frequency points. They make it able to fit your instrument nicely. 2 channel presets means that gigging 2 different instruments is easy peasy. It is really well thought out and the fact that Bergantino have already produced a software upgrade means that they are clearly working the design. It is has plenty of grunt and is light as a feather. All this added to the fact that I have had truly exceptional customer service from Bergantino makes me a fan.
Someone please buy my stuff for sale ha ha ha!!!
 22.
I had an Aerodyne Jazz and went the same route as Duff McKagan, putting an STK-JB2 in, but keeping the stock Precision pickup. This worked really well, so to me the Jazz pickup needs to be more powerful than the Precision one, that way it can then hold its own.
Agreed! I've reviewed plenty of basses where I felt that the bridge pickup was there to support the neck pickup, but too weak to be used on it's own.
 23.
It ain't cheap, I do know that... Sorry, I'm not helping much...it'll bump the topic up, tho...
Ha ha, no you are right there - but I think the feature set is very good even without the on-board cabinet profiles.
 24.
Any analogue pedal will go 'exotic' below Ab/G. There were claims made the MXRs could go lower, they can’t.. I tried.
Excellent, thank you Would like to know which pedals can go low LOW without issue.
