I bought a US GL CLF L2000 from them for £1400. Got it, looked fantastic, took it down to the studio but it didn`t float my boat especially for the money. Contacted them to return it and it took 4 or 5 days to arrange the return but they came when they said they would. But I had to chase them up to confirm the money was back in my account. And when I checked, the bass was up for sale again at £1600. And when I bought it, they sent me a mail to say that the bass had been on display and had some small marks on the back but no mention of the marks when they put it back up for sale at a higher price. (Just checked, they state that the bass may be on display and they will more than likely send you a mail as they did me.) I have bought a few things from them but I think they need to tighten up the mail order side of the business.

I think it was 5 mainly due to the singer handing in her notice at the start of the year 😭 We have managed to find another but we need to get her up to speed so bugger all gigs so far.

I`ve just noticed that Bassdirect has a Shuker Jazz s/h for £1299. Looks cool. http://www.bassdirect.co.uk/bass_guitar_specialists/Shuker_Jazz_5.html

I recently bought a 2016 P bass Elite and it`s brilliant. Active/passive, P and J, great bridge, it has the truss rod wheel adjuster like the MM, great case and it`s black and maple. I got it for £1100. I know it isn`t a Jazz but I can only guess that the Jazz is just as good. This may not help your GAS but if you fancy the Fender more than the Shuker, then go for it.

I don't think its Richard Madeley? ( Hair cut 100)

Back in the day my wife had a crush on old Nick. She sent him a pair of underpants, small size if I remember right. She was well whizzed off not to get a reply. Strange woman... -
We do know the one in the link is the guitar case and not the bass one? The bass one is £39 and is quite tempting as a halfway house between gig bag and full monty hard case. Late Xmas pressie to myself I think...

Aguilar to Phil Jones - will I be disappointed?
jezzaboy replied to Basilpea's topic in Amps and Cabs
I was looking at the PJ stuff when GG had them on sale a few months back but they did seem a bit heavier than I thought they would be considering the size of the cabs. I would go for the Barefaced myself. -
I was party to a situation like that only we didn`t even have the decency to change the band name. Not a nice thing to do. It`s amazing what you can let yourself get talked into.

The Must-Have Accessory for the modern bassist

Spot on. Thats the reason it stays in the spares box. -
There is something quite nice looking about that bass. Didn`t know that Simon Neil played the banjo

Looks like a Bullet lead? I have one that I bought a few years ago and used it on a gig when an old guitarists came up to me and said the curly leads from the 70`s were rubbish, thinking that it was one of those. I explained that it was brand new with a 44 magnum bullet casing at each end. Impressed him no end. -

Apparently when the original band were on TOTP they slagged off the TOTP orchestra, saying they were crap basically. The drummer of the orchestra was top session guy Clem Cattini who replied "who the feck do you think played on all your records!" Never liked the Mr and Mrs Silly Billy. Although I have played Shang a lang a few times.... Flippin heck, you can`t even say tw%ts on here

If I had an important gig coming up and my amp went ppphhhfftt, even if they sorted it, I doubt I would depend on it without a back up plan for the gig. I had an early one of these that was just out of warranty and it went ppphhhfftt one day and that was it goosed. I think it happened to quite a few of the early models.

Anderton`s did a video of the Tele`s a few weeks back. They are still boxed up and if you buy them, you can go on the show and open them! Just so you can see on camera just how much you have wasted yer cash!

The other band members aren`t the brightest are they? They should have waited until after you had done the gig then sacked you! No way would I do the upcoming gig for them. I`m surprised you manged to last this long with the drummer being a right moaner. It does my head in that does.

Now available again after spending far to much money on basses whilst being off. £650 posted, £630 collected. Price includes postage in a hard case UK mainland only. Payment by bank transfer only please. New photo`s at bottom of the page. If you want to collect the bass with social distancing, I will of course knock off the cost of postage. Sanberg VS4 Californina bass for sale only. I had this up and withdrew it but as my band has finished and with nothing new on the horizon, it`s time to down size a bit. Made in Germany this is an up to date take on Fenders P bass. The build quality is superb. Ash body, maple neck: the dot markers are actually stickers and can be easily removed if you like, Sandberg 2 band eq with passive option, the treble works as a tone control in passive, 39.5 mm at the neck, lightweight tuners, weight is around the 9 lb mark. Just in case you can`t see from the photos, the body is an open pore finish like those Fenders from a few years back. The bass is in good condition but there is a mark right at the end of the headstock as you can see in the photo. The two lines on the back are just the grain pattern. I have included a couple of shots without the main pick gaurd as that is how I used it on our last gig. Looks damm cool without it!

**SOLD** Fender US Standard 2011 P bass for sale only, not looking for trades. This one has the 60 th anniversary neck plate. It`s in good condition apart from a few small scratches on the back near to the string through bit, a couple of small dings on the rear, some very light swirls on the back, one very very small ding on the top edge of the bass next to strap button and some swirling on the scratch plate that can be seen when you tip the bass into the light. The frets are in exc condition, it has a brand new set of D`Addario nickles fitted and Schaller strap buttons. It has the SBK case which s in fair condition, some scrapes and marks on the outside but structurally sound. I dont have the key for the case and it didn`t come with any case candy when I bought it. Weight is 8.0 to 8.2 pounds. I would prefer collection from Paisley where you can check the bass out or I don`t driving for a meet up within reason. If you want to arrange your own courier and insurance, I will have it boxed up and ready to go. If you want to do this payment must be made by bank transfer and UK only.
