    Those JB2 `s are great basses. I used the one I had at a Status Quo tribute all dayer and it was kicking through a SVT and 4 x 10.

    A guitarist I used to play with sometimes never took a back up guitar and used to say it didn`t matter as it`s "just a pub gig." The silly billy also used cables that cost about a fiver and could never understand when they would chuck it. Now I`m far from being a professional musician but I treat every gig the same way if I`m playing to 500 or 5 people, if you are getting paid always be a good wee boy scout (did dib dob and all that) and come prepared!

    **The body has now been parted out** Here is one of the new Classic Vibe Jazz basses. This one is like new, hasn`t been out the house and has been barely played. I`m just not a Jazz guy. £260 posted, UK mainland only or if you want to collect with social distancing I will knock off the postage. No trades thanks. Bank transfer or PP friends and family. I have upgraded the bridge to a MIJ Gotoh version of the BBOT and it`s a sturdy bit of kit. The tuners have been changed to Wilkinson vintage style tuners as I fancied a set of black ones. They arent the smoothest to be honest but they hold their tuning and I will include the original tuners if you want to put them back on. Weight is 4.5 kg or just under 10 lb so no lightweight. It is a copy of a 70`s Fender!

    If you get the right size allen key and on the top half of the stack, just slacken the allen bolt and move it a bollock hair up and re tighten and Bob`s your very strange auntie. I had to do it with my P7.

    I have the off white/red tort one. As I mentioned on another thread, super light, crap tuners (imo) now replaced, really good build quality, the pickups have a low output but I still haven`t raised them yet or played loud through a decent set up so it may be nothing. Stew the neck is super small even for a Jazz sized neck. But my man cave where I hide out is super small so the short scale suits. And it`s so cute even the wife likes it! If we ever get out gigging again, I`m going to take it as a back up due to the weight and it won`t take up much space on stage.

    Thanks for that. Just to confirm something. The hard case included if you need the bass posting will be a new G4Music hard case. It is intended to protect the bass in transit only. It is brand new and if the courier doesn`t knock the sh*t out of it you can use it for many years I suspect. You aren`t being charged for the cost of the case. Most Sandbergs come only with a gig bag as standard.Ta.

    I don`t know whats all the fuss is about. They sold me a cracker of a Funder P bass last year!

    If it is just for recording, I wouldn`t. That P Tonerider pickup is great. In fact I would gig it the way it is just now. Apart form the covers, especially the one over the bridge which is a Jazz bass cover.

    It`s a shame that they didn`t get Jet back to play on a couple of tracks when they did their last tour with Cliff. I know there was a bit of bad blood but it would have been nice. Also, I don`t think that Bruce is in any hurry to return Cliff`s strat...

    If I remember right he stopped using the Ric as it didn`t have enough bottom end, ooer missus! In the same interview, he also mentioned getting one of his old P basses down from the loft and couldnt believe how heavy they were. Haven`t a clue about which bass he used on what song but I just remembered the above. Off to listen to News of the world now!

    They are gone baby! And no wonder at almost half price. And the combo has jumped in price to £395. Still a good bit cheaper than a Rumble 500 if you are in the market for similar.
