I was at practice tonight too. Actually snapped the string in the EP2 from doing a load of wub wub! whipped the baseplate off it & fixed in seconds. We've got a blues gig next month, so I thought I might invent a new genre. Bluesstep. Well Rasta man, what's your next moog gonna be? Glad you gave the 101 a chance, it does add a load of lovely bass to the sound.

Some combos have the internal speaker on a jack that plugs into the back of the combo amp. If it does you can unplug it, but you're most likely gonna need a short male/female 1/4" extension lead from the combo speaker to your Eden amp. Other option is to take the DI from the Eden & into the Peavey, but it's still not gonna sound like your rig does. Get a smaller good cab for lugging around (sell the 2x15 & get 2 1x15s would be my suggestion).

I think the only thing that really puts me off Fenders is the top horn. It's nothing short of hideous! The rest is a very nice. Not as nice as a Ritter, but still nice.

My Mrs calls the whammy bar (or tremolo arm) a "Wahwah Lever".

Depending on how they tune the cabs, it may or may not have more bass. You'd need to A/B them. Don't worry about the watts. 2 8 ohm cabs will get about 118 watts each (that's if the amp puts out 236w @ 4ohms & the TC cabs are 8 ohm, but there's another debate about that elsewhere & kinda points to watts DON'T mean volume as the TC amps are loud).

I'd suggest pairing another 2x10 to your 2x10. 12,s don't have any more bass unless they use a bigger cab (& then it's down to cab design) & then you have the risk of losing certain frequenciesfrom your sound when you mix driver sizes.

I'd perservere with the moog. I wasn't overly impressed with mine when I first got it, but as I got to use it more I discovered more & more possibilities with it. The settings I started with on everything (bass, amp & other fx) was very different from what I use now & wouldn't be without either of my moog pedals (I want more, but funds won't allow just now ).

Does that amp not chuck out 236w at 4 ohms On a serious note, use your ears & if it sounds bad, turn it back a bit or lose a touch of bass off it. I use a Markbass 2x10 combo & haven't had any troubles being heard. Edited to say, I doubt you'll need to crank it up full.

A couple of us had considered holding a bash in Central(ish) Scotland last year, like Falkirk, Stirling or Perth. But I think everyone was too busy. I was gonna try & organise something, but I got too busy with work & personal life. Never been able to make the Moffat bash (though I'd love to go sometime).

2 expression pedals would be ideal for that sound. 1 into the cutoff & 1 into the resonance. Try the res at @ 6-7 & EP2 into cutoff & a good fuzz on your bass.

Turn the cutoff to about 9 o'clock (or just above) & put it on 2 pole to start with. I have the res at @ 4, but if you want a bassier sound, take it down (between 0 & 2 has tonnes of bass! ). Amount should be at 0 & the Mix at 10. I notice Shep's on here too, let's see how our settings compare.

Does look similar to the Hamer Impact & Velocity, but the horns are different (less bent).
