Welcome to BC.
2. Talking about Navarro, I believe in that video on the previous page he's using a ME-20B & the BEF. He's not gotten back to me (though he might have missed my post).
3. Quality stuff Si. Did you get that from Organic Bass Wobble (facebook page)? I'm sure it was Nathan Navarro who posted it (I think it's his band, though I could be wrong). Something different... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WDIl5bOAkz8&feature=related
i use the 2by10 traveler cab with my little mark 11 and though it is not as low ended as I would like, i prefer it to the 1by15 traveler cab. Has any of you guys had the experience of using the 1by12 traveler cab?. in theory it might be a good compromise
It's nothing to do with the driver size, it's the cab dimensions. The bigger MB 2x10 cabs have loads more low end, the traveller is a compromise of low end for a lighter & smaller footprint cab.
5. Yeah, Moog's the same!
6. Well I saw a Hipshot A bridge for £66.64. Went to the checkout & this is the bill... Item Subtotal: GBP 66.64 Shipping: GBP 20.99 Duty & Vat: GBP 16.74 Total: GBP 104.37
7. Until you add shipping & [s]ripoff & theft[/s] VAT & Duty.
8. Just looking for a bridge & found out Guitar Centre now ship to the UK. Decent prices too!
9. A simple one like the Boss/Roland ME-50b might suit you. it's basically 3 stomp boxes that allows you to assign an effect to each. Line 6, Zoom & other Roland/Boss units are worth a look too.
10. I know where you're coming from. I was playing in a worship group that comprised of a singer/guitarist whom couldn't play anything past CAGED & didn't like anything in E, but she was a good vocalist & a drummer that played the same beat to every song (sounded like the drums to "Be my little baby" from Grease). As these 2 was older & been "playing" for 30+ years, I was considered the one who knew the least about theory & if I gave any opinions about what a chord or arrangement should be, was told "No, no, no, I'm right, that doesn't sound right! Capo on the 8". I think some churches have singers who only play a little of an instrument because they "have to" & once they have the basics, that's them set. Younger generations do appear to be breaking this (thank's to tinterweb).
11. What d'ya mean "you're not selling it"? I was gonna pay good money too!
12.
That's some serious Wal ownership going on there! Why would anybody choose to play a bloody Telecaster with that little collection in the house?
Simple. His dad won't let him touch the good gear until he's older!
13. Can't watch the vid at work, but I really like Hadrians, would love to see the Chinese one & Berlin's was a classic.
14. If I had the time, I'd love to sort out a Central Bass Bash. But as things are just now, I just don't get the time. I'd have to fight just to get to one as my work is random hours & I'm in the process of trying to redecorate the entire house, fit a new kitchen, demolish the garden, help the Mrs with her business & on top of that, I'm trying to do my bits for our wedding in April. If no one sorts anything out before hand, I'll see what I can do next June.

Grand Wazoo's pretty much right there, the MB combos are excellent kit. Though it's @ 350w without the ext cab (not that it matters, as it's seriously loud). If I had the CMD 151, I'd add another MB 15" cab. I have the CMD 102p & if I ever need more volume, I'd add another 2x10.
16. Cheers min, I'm off a searching for 2nd hand.
17. I've emailed headstock Distribution to see if I can get replacement saddles from anywhere. If not, I'm looking at the Shaller 3D & have also noticed the Babicz bridge, which looks cool & is about the same price. Question though. Are these bridges worth the extra £40-50 over something like this... http://www.thomann.de/gb/goeldo_hw50b_bass_3d_steg.htm or this http://www.blackdogmusic.co.uk/ViewItem.php?ItemID=238 ?
18. I'd say the highlight was the big yawn the percussionist does beginning 19 seconds in & is still going strong when the camera cuts back to him at 25 seconds. I did persevere & got to the bass solo & the drummer. Quality stuff! I did love the expressions the bassist pulled & the big cheesy grin. Almost looks like George Dawes. Seriously, I like that track & they appear to be a good bunch of musicians having a great time (which is what it's all about, audience comes 3rd).
19. Now that's something I never thought of. I'll have to check out whom my nearest dealer is. If not, I'm safe with a drill. No Leerdammer makers here.
20. Just having a look around, are the £30 shots worth buying or are they crap? Thomann & Axesrus have some cheapos, or is that just what they are?
21. Good stuff Now I need to convince the wife just why this is so important. I don't mind if it looks different from the Ibby one, as long as it does a good job. I even toyed with the idea of fitting this... Maybe not.
22. Thanks I'll forget wasting money on wood filler (got plenty of wooden skewers). So would any bridge of that style be ok as long as the string spacing is the same?
23. Cheers, I'll have a look at the Schaller. A bit of wood filler & I should be fine re screwholes
24. Close up of the cracks If I take the strings off I can lift the saddles out without having to do anything (except from the A saddle).
25. It's still functional as in "the strings go over the bridge & it plays ok", but I was going to raise the action for an upcoming gig (fret clank is getting on me thruppnies). if you look at the top pic you can see a locking screw at the end of each saddle, well the saddle is completely cracked right across. I think I may have over tightened them last time I was playing with the action. I'll take a pic & upload it just now.
