1. What flavour is it?
2. How much delivered to mainland UK?
3. Will you take £40?
4.
They used to be visitors at my first flat in London. We had a few pretty dodgy characters round but Nancy was the only one ever to be physically ejected for 'bad behaviour'. This may have involved syringes . . .
This I have no doubt! I just don't think films such as Sid and Nancy, The Doors movie etc etc can ever accurately portray real events. There's lots of reasons for that which we can all understand.
5. It doesn't usually happen but I have done. I play a JV Precision and a couple of lads have asked if it was a JV. Those lads I've offered them a play on it when they have asked. They must have known their stuff and so worthy of trust in my opinion...
6. Used a similar Ampeg rig on a few dates recently. Absolutely fantastic sound. On the first note, the guitarist turned round and said" f**kin hell that sounds good. You just know you can't go wrong with Ampeg! I liked the 6x10 better than the 8x10 too. GLWTS.
7.
Lets hope it`s as accurate as Sid & Nancy.......................
The truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth.....
Cringeworthy. Is that the movie or the band?
All of the above!
8. Dad was a pub pianist and Mum {both Scottish) had a great voice and often accompanied him. Dad got paid a few quid for playing etc. Around 40 years ago she was offered £200 a night to sing in some venue in Blackpool. She refused saying "Son, by the time I've had enough to drink to sing there, you won't be able to afford me". Often wondered why she wouldn't but I suspect she knew the constraints it would put on her family. Upmost respect for that lass for that!
9. Looks a bit dire to me. A bit cringeworthy methinks... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pzysZI-1LN8
10.
Haha shouldn't have had that spliff before asking! I also was focussing on the price thinking that was the joke. Yeah crazy number of knobs and their position is laughable! Looks an interesting bass without the excess knobs though.
I'm on bitter and thought he was on about Jordan...
11.
I suppose I was quite lucky in the fact that my fave band was The Sex Pistols. I bought a bass, went to lessons to learn what notes were what on the fretboars, then from there taught myself to play along to Never Mind The Bollocks, as I`d got hold of the song-book. And this would be my tip, find some easy songs with not too many fret changes and get used to playing along, getting timing right etc, and also perfecting fretting without buzz/dead fret sound. From there, well once that`s ok then speed up, attempt lines with more fret-changes in them. Theres nothing so frustrating as hearing fret-buzzing and dead-fretting when learning, really soul destroying, so going slow and getting the rhythm right and fretting, even on just on one string right, well it brings a sense of getting it right which spurs you on.
Similar story but bought a bass for £16.00 and sat there and practiced with no amp until I could play Never Mind the Bollocks and The Clash full album. The bass was welded to me. My parents must have had some patience!
12.
I have the 500W version and changed the valve to a lovely Mullard (Watford Valves) as the original was far too loud and aggressive. Just come back from a rehearsal. What a great little amp!!!
I believe people change valves to their own taste. However, the stock setup has served me very well. They are great little amps...

Just bought a TC combo from Martin. Tip top condition and a really smooth straightforward transaction. Martin is a true gent but if you are going to buy him a present, don't get him a P bass! Thanks Martin, it was a pleasure to meet you. Cheers Dunc
14. Thanks for the kind words gents. Marvellous little machines.
15.
Just a friendly bump, and to say I've got one of those Orange Terror heads and I love it... Gigged mine at a small folk fest yesterday. Originally I was going to go through the PA, but the sound guy said I didn't need it I used it with my Epifani 110 and it more than coped - sounded lovely and warm.... GLWTS
Thanks for the +1. They truly are great heads, sound and volume but hopefully won't need it with in ears, Got an amazing sound plugged straight into a Behringer X18 desk and so, now defunct...
16. No way, for goodness sake. That is the bo**ocks. Where was this before my BF sold...
17. Tentative feeler as probably moving onto in ears with no bass backline. Please fully read as I've edited some details that were wrong. £350 delivered mainland UK. Orange Terror bass 500w hybrid head. About 6-8 months old. Only played 6 gigs and 6 rehearsals. As new with Orange soft case, original box and a couple of short speakons. Very good as new condition. Still have receipt and original box somewhere. £325 Cab - SOLD Barefaced Compact Gen1, I think. 1 speakon connector on the back and cloth grill. Runs at 8 ohm. Has a small crack inside the bottom vent. Does not go all the way through or impede anything. If it was painted over with cab paint, you would never know. I've got some cab paint and could paint over for any buyer. One or two other dings etc but nothing to worry about. Overall good condition otherwise. £650 the pair The head puts out a loud 500w at 4 or 8ohm. I used this setup combined with a BF Midget in a band with 2 other guitarists, drummer and 4 vocals but found using both cabs to be overkill. The Compact was more than enough. Possibly Tech 31 VT or similar Ampeg emulation, Ipad. Decent electronic kit. Could ship at buyers risk but would need a bit of time to sort some packaging. Alternatively, collection from BB22SH or could meet up for a bit of fuel money depending on distance. Any questions, please ask. Pics up tomorrow.
18. Sold my VI to Tom. Great transaction all round. Immediate payment, great communication. Couldn't ask for better. Thanks again Tom. Cheers Dunc
19. If this was up last night it would have been on it's way to me. GLWTS
20.
What !!!??????? OK, well maybe its me, I just don't have the taste for relics.....
It's not a relic. It's wrecked.
21. I got one of these recently - http://nuxefx.com/pr...etail.php?id=89 Great little unit, robust and with 6 hours record time. I think its a clone of the Boss RC3. Only cost £70 new. Plenty of info and sales on the net. Not sure about a mic but I cant see why one can't be used though...
22. Close up of plate photo looks like it says JV. My eyes aren't the best though! PJ555 https://www.youtube....h?v=rpGdKhk5YI8
23.
Am trying very hard to resist that one, but yes, was intrigued by that JV plate.
Intriguing indeed. I'm tempted to say it's a Frankenstein. Body off the bass in the link or similar, Jap P-J neck and a JV plate? But... http://www.ebay.com/...=p2047675.l2557 I can't see where the JV plate comes in though? Maybe it's just a plate thats been added?
