1. Sleep is for quitters... saying that I've no beer left.
2. How good is that! Welcome back!
3. Nice little combo's. They make a lot of sound for such a small unit. Have a bump!GLWTS
4. Been through a similar scenario a few times myself with the same band (not your band!). Your "singer" is a duck. Full of himself. Do yourself a favour and dont be his puppet. Makes me wonder what the rest of the "band" think too? They are probably too fekin scared to say anything. Band? Spent a lifetime with the same sort of obnoxious click and regret most of it. Move on. Even if he and his "band" unlikely "make it", you would have been spared all the crap of uncertainty and pain. Sounds like you have "real" talent too. Move on and don't help them anymore. In my experience, a singers definition of a "band" is not what the rest of the musicians in it belive. Rant over!
5.
The making of documentary dvd in the deluxe edition is an eye-opener! The producer was really out there. Has to be seen. The bass tone on the title track is one of my favourite ever. The reason I bought a Dimarzio Model P!
Look on youtube for the making of the album. It's surreal!
6. I'm not worthy but I play many of the tracks live on a regular basis. What a fekin band!
7. I'm an underpaid guide dog...
8.
If my 5 string sells, i'll be hard pressed to resist this. Oh and SQ3...means it's an 83 serial number
Thanks for the information. It's a great bass, which I'm sure wouldn't disappoint.
9. I loved vinyl. Tangible, collectible, inner sleeves, coloured, different shapes etc etc, brilliant! Along came CO. I thought they were boring. The sound just seemed bland. Presentation was minimal in comparison. Took me many years to even possess a cd. I dont think I've ever bought one? Then came the download mp3 etc. Nothing but digital info. Impersonal and clinical. We can all get Mp3 and CO for free, rightly or wrongly. For me, you can't beat the buzz of spending your pocket money on something you really Want! Showing my age now I suppose! I used to look forward to amassing enough money to buy an album and then literally running to the music shop and buying what I wanted. Vinyl is the only medium that can do that in my eyes. CO etc took all the excitement out of buying a bands work for me. The sound was not and is not the same. CD technology was and still is flat and soulless in comparison. Mp3 download is just too clinical, just like digital photo's are not the same as holding a photo in your hand and being able feel it and relate to it. Hypocritically, my extesive vinyl collection is in the attic but now converted to mp3 on a small hard drive that takes up a lot less space. If I had the room though, the vinyl would be my first and only choice.
10.
I am amazed this is still here! -- I owned this beauty for nearly 4 years and you will be hard pushed to find an SQ as good as this one both in looks and playability! Will.
Cheers Will, it is a great instrument and I'll be sad to see it go. If the money situation changes, I'll be keeping it!
11. Could make a good tour bus for a three piece too! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Triplet-tandem-cycle-spare-and-repairs-/272466975602?hash=item3f704c1b72:g:k~EAAOSw5cNYPIJK
12. Where's Ash? Thought he would have been here by now!
13. Found that with a through neck, I can make do with 22 frets for the stuff I play. I can reach to the 22nd with ease. With a bolt on, I would need 24 frets as the neck/body butt prohibits my reach. With a bolt on the 23rd and 24th frets i cannot reach. Chubby little mits you see...
14.
Ah, I am super tempted but thats a bit far from London and I am not too keen on buying before trying.
Missed your reply. Al Bundy! My hero. Taught me everything I need to know about the fairer sex! All I can say is, buy it, try it. If you don't like it send it back and I'll refund your money...
15.
Hard to believe this is still here!
Fair bit of interest to be honest but I think the pics are letting it down. I can't seem to get a photo taken in daylight!
16.
Is the pick guard original? I thought with headstock truss adjustment it wouldnt have the cut outs
It doesnt adjust at the head it adjusts at the heel...
17. Honestly, it's a great head. Don't be put off by the HB. I've had Promethean, Redsub and owned this. They are basically the same.
18. If I had some cash I'd buy it back!
19.
I owned this once. Really is a lovely playing quality Precision.
Thanks for the thumbs up, especially from a previous owner! Will be sorry to see it go but needs must...
20. Reading too deep here lads! Is a BF lightweight combo too difficult to comprehend?
21. Sounds Pretty Vagrant to me!
22.
Why ?
Because knowledge is power!
23.
I wouldn't start opening them up. Alex is pretty particular on the construction, especially the cross bracing to keep them rigid while using lightweight plywood. I followed a thread on another site a few years ago when he was making the prototype. It's very clever.
Ummm, I thought as much. Would be interesting to see the plans. Thanks for the info though...
