1. New part ex trade options up now...
2. Totally epic cab and a great price (I have one)...
3. I'm a sunbeams player (which unfortunately aren't available for such a low price) but when I've needed steels the Hi-Beams are the best I've ever had on a bass.
4. V good deal. Single set for about 17 quid inc postage and cheap enough to avoid the customs charge.
5. All that effort to shift a fake fender for 400 quid. Ptftftftft
6. Yes - smells funny. The mention of a dad who passed away, no gigs, suggestions that it's a closet classic etc he left out the bit about it 'only being used in church' aha ha ha Logo is very suspicious, looks like a cheap parts bass that he's trying to pass as vintage.
7. Here's my Celinder J Classic in Lake Placid Blue with matching headstock in good condition from 2001 on the block for £2150. This is Christian Celinder's version of the perfect 1962 jazz. It's a fabulous instrument that is light (9lbs on my scale) and well balanced. Neck is fantastic and it sounds punchy and warm as befits a 62 style J. Here's a vid with me playing 'The Chicken' straight into logic through a MOTU Traveller, no frills. https://www.youtube....h?v=6CGIcItHpEg Pickup selections go Tone on full - Neck 100 Bridge 100 - Neck 60 Bridge 100 - Neck 100 Bridge 60 - Danish Red Alder Body - Brazilian (Rio) fretboard - very dark and very fine. - Clay dots - Board radius is composite and goes vintage (7.25 or so) at the nut to flatten out to around 10inches at the 12th fret. A very playable bass. - Maple neck - SD Antiquity II pups - lime pickguard Condition is good with a few marks due to use but no chips or major dings. Frets are in v good condition. PART EX TRADE OPTIONS - Spector Euro 4 Strings - Mid 80s Warwick Streamers (1st Gen) - Fender reissue Precisions - 80s Stingrays or Stingray Classics PIcs!

Thanks Roger and glad it got to you safe. And, of course, you know who to call if you want to sell that incredible bass!
10. And withdrawn. It's fantastic and these basses do not grow on trees!

12. These are SUCH great basses...they track incredibly well. Thump thump boom! HUGE sound.
13. This thread is about Henry but here's a slice of Mononeon...just a fabulous and very interesting player... https://vimeo.com/177511679
14. Yes he's amazing. Brings pyrotechnics and soul together with an 'anything can happen' vibe. Great player. And Mononeon is fantastic...
15. Great basses - demo'd here at volume by Mickey from Supergrass https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mo9Iw5gq6zY
16. Sorry (withdrawn again)
17. As a HUGE Prince and the Revolution fan (the bassist, Brownmark is a great unsung bass hero who used a Spoiler to great effect), always wanted one of these. Bump...
18. I'll add my vote to say get a Stingray Classic fiver - they sound amazing and look fab. Beautifully built too...
19.
Happy days when the big name pop acts of the time were allowed to write their own songs, record them playing the instruments themselves and not wholly relying on Autotune.
Yup, and making a living wage (or indeed a packet) out of the process. Not a common occurrence nowadays...
20. Cool bass. Love a Zon me...
21. *cough* needs a shim
22. Fantastic cabs. I have the version with the tweeter and it thumps!
23. Fabulous basses these!

25. He's the real deal. I've had a J bass and a telecaster from him and they are both lovely instruments. It's also funny that they come up for sale off and on for more than the price he sells them for. It's laudable that he keeps the price accessible, quantity low and quality high. He's a rare bird!
