  1. And a start the week make some noise bump for this phenomenal cab...
  2. I've owned Nash and Bravewood relics. There was a time (2006/7) when a Nash was a good deal in that it was an assembly of good quality parts put together by someone who knew what they were doing with a vibey nitro job and tarnishing etc But they are very much parts instruments (I had a J bass and a Telecaster). I would never consider paying the prices being asked for them new (or second hand nowadays) based on my past experience. They're fine for what they are but nothing special. Bravewoods are in another class altogether. Stunning instruments in my experience. Totally different from the Nash instruments. Would like to try a Limelight someday as they look like excellent value.
  3. Bump for new pics to illustrate minty freshness of this barely used cab.
  4. Allo allo. Mid week bump for this gorgeous super P.
  5. Let's bump this up for Friday night...
  6. And the man behind the cover of Revolver... https://www.theguardian.com/music/2016/jul/23/beatles-revolver-cover-klaus-voormann
  7. Legend. Klaus Voorman here defining P bass cool...

  10. I've lost enthusiasm for selling this stellar bass. Keeping it as it destroys everything else in it's price range.
  11. Thinking about it he is a David Brent character but more metal and LA in flavour...
  12. For an extended riff on the self funded and ultimately futile vanity tour, see the David Brent movie...
  13. Never tried the short scale version, but Thomastik flat wounds are soft as you like (but not too soft), sound great, feel very smooth and last for aeons.
  14. Hope you're enjoying the XL2! Sounds like you're enjoying the XL2! Awesome basses. Thoroughly recommended instruments and as rare as you like folks...
  15. Only have great memories of this place. Would turn up most Saturdays in the mid eighties and work my way through (really nice) Warwicks, Statii, Jaydees, Wals, Alembics, Pedullas, the odd Steinberger and a brace of Zons for a few hours through a Trace stack, then head home to continue my A Level revision. Staff were never less than accommodating to a youth who clearly could only afford a pack of strings, especially the fellow with the massive mullet. LOVED that place.
  16. I'm Steinberger free at the moment but given available cash, I would jump on this in a heartbeat. I had a transitional XL2 and it was a beast. A very, very playable beast
  17. Yes ,a big factor is the demise of the pound. A lot of the more expensive gear is brought to the board from EU collectors/sellers. I often see prices in Euros that would have been appealing 2 years ago, but nowadays they're simply not worth considering for British buyers.
