1. From memory I think it's either 14 or 16 thousand something, I'll check on Sunday.
2. An all original Fender USA 1983 Fullerton Reissue Precision '57 in great condition. There's the usual checkering to the nitro but there is no significant wear to the finish, or chunks of the finish missing. Some flaming on the neck. A very resonant lightweight bass. Comes with Fender black tolex H/C (great condition).
3. One day you'll find yourself a good BB2000, and settle down happily ever after I ordered a BB2024 last year after having one on loan (very impressed with that one!) and it was a disaster, sounded absolutely crap (I had to drive halfway across the country and have a quiet word in some ones ear before the shop would talk it back). So I wouldn't buy another one blind from a shop. If I'd seen this one before it had gone I'd have been sorely tempted, if there had been the slightest problem with it Peter would have pointed it out - he's a great fellow to deal with.
4. That's a standard size set screw, you'll have no problem finding one.
5. I used to have one of these, bought direct from Mr Reed when he used to sell on ebay. It was a terrific bass - if this one's anything like it it's an absolute steal for the price!
6. Is this the same bass as this one http://basschat.co.uk/topic/213880-sold-yamaha-trb-4p-l425-sold/ ?
7. An all original '83 Fullerton reissue. Lightweight and very resonant - complete with black tolex case. I will entertain offers (no trades). UK shipping £30.
8.
maybe you should get a life.
Wouldn't a "Thank you" have been more appropriate?
9.
A couple more gigs with a single cab over the weekend... lovely. I've just had a bit of time to myself for a change, so I filled it in by making the obligatory very unscientific noodling video. Remember, no tweeter in the cab...
That's the nicest sounding setup I've ever heard you play through. I have a 12" walkabout and a Promethean combo at the moment - I like them both but I think the walkabout must be lined with lead - I'm looking for something lighter. I see from the website that these 112's are specified to weight 10kg - does that sound about right?
10.
Hi bought this on here a couple of months back restrung with new fender bass strings (45-105) bass is in stonkingly good condition.Plays like a dream. Non use forces sale so I'd like to see back what I paid (£695) includes original 1985 Yamaha ( hardish)case in used condition. Pics available here : (hope Terry doesn't mind). http://basschat.co.u..._fromsearch__1. I'm in Chiswick west London . not looking for exchanges at this point... Can ship at buyers cost but would prefer pickup for yours and mine piece of mind. Cheers Craig
I think you should be sectioned. Best bass Yamaha has ever made.
11.
What did you replace it with?
A flute...
12. It's my 50th in a couple of weeks, so it's just as well I've never been one for the YOB bass concept (that and an empty piggy bank!). Strangely enough I've had issues over the last year or so with what I assume is some form of rheumatic problem in my fretting hand, and what works for me now is a wide C neck. Are you sure all the bones have set correctly? It might just need one to be reset to alleviate all the problems, but I don't think you'd find out unless you went private.
13. Blimey, that's light for a mahogany bodied bass! The only Decade I've handled must have been 12 to 13lb.
14. I don't think this would have lasted a day on talkbass - unfortunately as a group we Basschatter's certainly are a "Dedicated follower of fashion"!
15. Just flogged some kit to Alan - a very straight forward transaction and yet another highly recommended buyer. Enjoy the cab!
16. The HF cone is round in the Wizzy's - are you thinking of the drivers in the old CXL cabs which had a rectangular (HF) driver?
