1.
new member here although I have read posts for a long time now. i wanted to reply to this so I officially joined. I would be interested if you could ship to u.s. I even have a fed account through work. could e mail prepaid label.. would have to work out incidentals like ins .what have you thanks
I've no issues shipping to the US, but be aware I would only consider payment by direct bank transfer. (I lost almost $2000 on the last bass I shipped abroad due to paypal related fraud.) Since that obviously gives you no buyer protection you might consider requesting a forum member in good standing (preferably based in Scotland or Northern England) to act as an escrow agent (for a small fee).
2. Apologies to those who have PM'd me over the last few weeks - hopefully I have replied to you all.
3. Open to trades (lower value Fender type basses + cash).
4. Thanks Martin. Bass now up for sale again... (Hoping for a cash sale rather than a trade at the moment.)
5. New unused control plate and neck pickup surround for a BB2024X (should fit BB1024X as well) £35 + PP uk only.
6. An all original 1983 Fullerton Reissue Precision '57 in great condition. Probably as clean an example as you'll find - no issues, everything works as it should.
7. Sontec Electronics now handle Yamaha spares - 01603 483 675.
8.

It's your thing is a great song - Ernie was only 16 when he recorded that bassline! Just shows what you can do with 3 frets and a shitload of talent.
9. Here we go: Although it can't be seen in these pictures there is some marking to the nickel control plate - I have ordered a replacement from Yamaha to swap it out. Weightwise it's bang on 4.3Kg.
10. The question has been asked many times on this forum, but a for sale thread probably isn't the best place to discuss it.
11.
He's a thoroughly decent chap and [s]probably[/s] is one of the most trustworthy people on this forum and in general that I've had the pleasure in dealing with.
Fixed that for you Nick
12. I never noticed this - a gorgeous bass at a giveaway price. This won't be here long.
13. Are you sure it's been retrofitted with the Nathan East preamp (stock BB2004's have a different preamp).
14. Just bought this a week or so ago from luckylips, but what I'd really like is a vintage burst 2024 (which will go nicely with my BB2000...) so if anyone facies a trade give me a shout. I'll get pictures up in a day or two but you all know what they look like. Also happy with a cash sale bit I'm not looking for any other trades (apart from VSB 2024).
15. Can you weigh it andtell us the weight?
this might help
Doubt it. People spout a load of crap about Fender serial numbers. In '82 I ordered a pair of Fiesta Red '62 reissues and requested adjacent serial numbers. I got these in early '83 and the numbers were in the 16xxx's. According to that graph those basses would have been '86's. When in comes to Fenders there are very few certainties and a hell of a lot of exceptions.
