1. If I get away with the bank robbery I'm planning I'll be in touch... Seriously gorgeous bass, wish I'd not got so many home expenses right now. Good luck with the sale.
2. I bought a cheap Behringer pedal because well, I dont use chorus much at all but would like it as an option. On receiving the pedal it didn't bring in the effect on pressing the pedal when using a single power supply but worked fine on batteries. I plugged it in to my new multi power supply on my pedal board and it worked great at home... Took it to rehearsal and no chorus!! The effect now just doesn't come on at all... Any ideas on what I can do to try and repair? Im a complete beginner with electronics but I can do an ok job of soldering...
3. Sent you a message - sorry only just seen this!!
4. The power pack did the job at rehearsal last night. I used rechargeable batteries in the past and when they get low you loose a lot of your effect so having constant power is excellent. Just one of the pedals let me down....
5. Bought the Caline off eBay, got very fast delivery from whoever the cheapest 100% feedback seller was. All hooked up and tested at home last night, very very pleased! Taking it out with the band tonight but aside from tidying up the loose cable length I can't see any issues until I acquire more pedals, which I'm keen not to do! Thanks for the recommendation!
6. Sorry for being late but I had the same dilemma and did a spreadsheet calculating total area, cost, etc! Ended up buying a Gator case from thomann. So far very pleased with it, it's ply rather than aluminium but it feels sturdy enough for the job
7. Yes and no... I started on a tanglewood p copy that was blown away by a Kramer fretless from the musicyo days. That Kramer was cheap, less than £225 delivered I think, but good woods and well put together. Wearing decent strings its a real different beast to anything else out there and bands over the years have loved it. Despite its looks being very inappropriate (black metalic paint, reverse pointy head) it's one I'm told to bring more often. This is the bedt value bass Ive had. Having said that I felt that from what ive owned certain cheap basses were not for band use: Westfield p copy, hohner pj, Brice six string. But I bet one in a thousand from any cheap basses model is a winner.
8. For my MIM Jazz with Bartolinis I need to get a zingy sound with a touch of grit for I expect about half of my new bands set... I need to dig in with some fast finger funk and play the odd slap fill so I'm looking to change my strings to get the tone. I currently use round fender nickels and can't afford to try loads of different combos, am thinking steel round wound strings but not so clued up on brands to achieve the sound, any suggestions welcome!
9.
Check out item number 201418083669 on eBay. I bought one of these recently and I have to say it's really excellent and the pretty blue lights look lovely too! Just be aware that the UK address is complete %@##@$?@ and you will need to allow time for it to come from China where it will actually be despatched from. Other than that I couldn't recommend it more highly!
Had a look at this and while I had something similar in the past that did a great job I'm reluctant to dive in too quick and get this wrong. I don't fully understand miliamps, voltages, etc but I see this has most outputs at 100mA, one of my ehx pedals requires 200mA, some of my pedals just dont say! So I'm guessing there is a chance there will not be sufficient current?
10. And still for sale, £20 plus postage for £30 worth of tuners....
11. So my arsenal of effects has got to a point where rechargeable batteries are being abused all over the place. I'd like to buy a pedaltrain type set up and a single power supply unit but my past experience of these hasn't been good. I can't daisy chain the pedals because some won't accept it and I want to use a multi power supply that will not create noise in the pedals. I read some topics here and I'm keen on the Harley Benton but not sure if I NEED isolated power supplies or not...? Looking to spend as little as possible. My pedals are: Behringer tuner EHX Qtron EHX bass blogger Boss limiter enhancer Chorus and delay pedals to be added shortly, possibly a DI as an option. Any advice is gratefully received. Thank you
12. Play it loud!!! Looks lovely
13. Last try here before other methods attempted...
14. Back from holiday, this is still available at £120 buyer collects near St Albans. Would consider trade for an electric six string guitar
15. Still for sale. £25 posted in the UK. Its a steal.
16. My new band heard my fretkess with Ernie Balls this week and said it sounds "dirty" I said yeh there's a little bit of grit in the sound and they simultaneously went "no, sexually dirty".
17. Dropped to £120 to a BC'er for a quick sale...
18. I somehow could only get Ernie Ball flats for my five string fretless many years ago and have stuck with them since. First set lasted six years. I genuinely believe that investment in good strings is a massive part of your sound, and can really alter the sound. I would recommend the Ernie Balls especially if you need a lot of length to reach the tuners, but also because of the durability. Tonally one man's treasure, etc. But I find these great for the bass I tie them on, a bit of grit in the sound and a space in the notes with a solid tone works for me. Also no finger blisters when really digging in

20. This bass has had some serious use. It came to me via the brother of the former owner and after a long time in storage. The body is not in mint condition with lots of wear through the woodstain and some dings and chips, but still looking great. I have fitted a new graphite nut, brand new chrome high-mass bridge (similar design to original), shored up the wiring and added LaBella Deep Talkin' bass strings. This bass sounds fantastic!!! Really lightweight body with a nice slim and fast neck. I considered upgrading the pickups but haven't bothered because it sounds good enough as is. Priced for a quick sale. Not in perfect condition but a nice worn in look, a great bass for a back-up or for a beginner to intermediate player. Would keep it myself but there's not enough space on the guitar stands and I'm tempted for an electric... May consider trade for an electric guitar (six string, not bass) I don't know if this will work but here's a link to a Google pictures thing with a handful of high quality pics... At the moment it's pickup only from st Albans area. I dint have a case to sell it in but will throw in the strap that's shown in the photos. 21. I started out with a tanglewood p copy as my first bass. At some point I had a hohner pj which was just awful. I thought I'd be more of a jazz bass man and owning an MIM Jazz I was almost satisfied... Until I bought an MIJ P 1970 reissue through this forum, with a Steve Harris signature pickup. Playing at home it just sounded ok but at volume and with the Steve Harris Sig strings it is a tone monster. So happy with it for the presence it brings it really is the perfect bass for playing live. I'm no Steve Harris fan but the combo of the pup and strings is very articulate, a big fat sound with a hint of grit to it, very full and never lost under the guitars but not screaming over them either. The fender Japanese neck is lovely , so nicely playable, and the body is reassuringly heavy. How could it be improved? Maybe a big MM pup at the bridge? Not sure if that's just being greedy or not! It's the ideal gigging machine, I wasn't completely sold on it until I used it in rehearsals and now it's love.
22. *NOT EXACTLY WITHDRAWN, JUST SPLIT UP AND RE-PRICED* Very reluctantly circumstances are forcing this sale. I am selling together for a swift transaction my Trace GP7 combo: 1x15" speaker, effects loop, gain control, built in compressor, graphic EQ, 300watt output, side carry handles. The control panel lights up in trace-green when powered. Plus a 2x10 cab with casters to bring this to a 500 watt rig. The power and tone are truly immense. Just last night I was playing jazz and p bass through this with the band and they all loved the sound, it really does add something. I really cannot stress how good the condition is. The speaker cable is brand new too This is collection only from St Albans area. I'll be sad to see it go but needs must. Please PM me for any info.
