1. In my experience Mooer are hit or miss. I had a Green Mile (TS clone) which was ok, but the Sweeper (Bassballs clone) and Yellow Comp are sh*te, with my set up at least. But for £40 odd quid they're worth a punt, you might find something you like.
2. I gig every week and I do go a bit stir crazy if I have a weekend with no gig. I just love playing. And it doesn't matter if it's a ropey pub band, a big function or an originals gig, I still want to play well and hopefully help get some booty on the dancefloor. I still get that buzz after years of doing this and I'm glad that's the case. I know a few jaded old pros and it shows massivly in their attitude and playing. My thinking is that I play for free but it's the travelling, setting up & hanging about that I get paid for. I honestly don't know what I'd do in this world without music. It's my favourite drug. Rock on!
3. Ditto. Right angled cables every time. Both ends of the cable too, so the input jack on your amp is nice and flush.

I personally stay away from the presets and set up my own patches from scratch. As far as blend settings go I like to dial in dry bass to preserve the low end as most of the effects are just too full on when there's no dry bass in the signal. Just my preference. I use an expression pedal to adjust my wet/dry blend too, the parameters for this are adjustable in the Total menu. In the Global menu, my balance is set to 100%, and I do all the wet/dry adjustments for each patch in the individual effect settings. The best advice I can give is play around with the blend settings until you find what you like. If you're plugging into an amp go straight into the input, not the effect loop. Use the amp sims anywhere you like. If an amp sim, or any effect, sounds good to you that's all that matters. You can always copy a patch to a different memory slot and play around with different settings without overriding the original patch. There is an active/passive switch next to the input jack, that should sort out your hot signal. Have fun
5. I just bought a pedal from Alex. Nice guy. Definitely recommended.
6.
I like that the 'Mini' Q-Tron is the biggest pedal on your board except for the B3!
Lol, It's a dinosaur of a pedal. I love those big old EHX enclosures. I only got it out recently as I saw one for sale on here and I'd forgotten how fat it sounded.
7.
What 66 diode settings you using now mate? Just out of curiosity :-)
Ch1 is LED and Ch2 is germanium. I also use my boost pedal to drive the 66 (and all my other dirt pedals too), so I have a couple of flavours for each setting. Killer pedal, it's my go to distortion.
8. I've recently added a Blower Box (sounds good at low volume, but kicks ass at high volume), and I'm waiting for my COG custom blender (lots of filters & a couple of boosts built in) to arrive, but still loving the sounds I can get from this board. All my dirt sounds are very much covered, along with a variety of dancy/synthy sounds thanks to 2 filters, distortions & B3 octave options. http://instagram.com/p/su1QjXN6j-/ Signal path is: B3 (Just for modulation effects. Expression pedal mainly used for wet/dry blends) Catalinbread Super Chilli Picoso boost (soon to be replaced with the COG custom blender/booster) Solidgold Beta COG Knightfall 66 Idiotbox Blower Box COG Grand Tarkin MXR filter Korg Polytune EHX Mini QTron BBE Opto Stomp compressor
9. I switched to flats a couple of years ago, and on my P they were a revelation. For gigs they rocked, I found the sound I'd been looking for, a nice deep tone. But for recording they were severely lacking in the mid frequencies. I then tried half wounds and found the mids I needed, but with all the character of the flats. No more rounds on the P for me!
10. I've used a few Ampeg 8x10 rigs when they've been supplied on bigger gigs, and I haven't forgotten that lovely thump in my back I felt every time I played a note. But I wouldn't want to have to hump the amp or cab around for my regular gigs. Hell of a rig though.
11. Bump. Only the two distortions left now.
12. 2x45 is the norm for me, but some pubs want 3x45.
13. Someone here has surely got to want a Boss OD or Chorus.
14. That pedal might sound uber funky with a bass though. Seriously, it might. Lol.
15. I sold a pedal to Jeff. Another smooth & easy BC transaction, thanks Jeff.
16. I like the sound of this. I'm going to have to have one of these soon
17. Only three left now. They have to go.
18. I sold a couple of pedals to Goran. Great BCer, good communications. Thanks Goran.
19. I've got a Boss Chorus going in the for sale section if you're interested. http://basschat.co.uk/topic/241917-price-reductions-13-pedals-fs-boss-ehx-digitech-mooer-behringer/
20. The Grand Tarkin is awesome, the mids knob really opens it up in a band mix. You're going to love it.
21. Boss ODB3 & Boss Bass Chorus still need new homes........
22. I just sold an OD pedal to Megagames. As always, an easy sale, thanks.
23. Prices reduced on the last few pedals.
24. Boos ODB3 & Boss Bass Chorus still available. Bump.
