overdrive!

Awesome! Music really is a voyage of discovery eh.
2. Good question. I play a passive so it's not an issue I have to worry about. There are quite a few COG ownners here, so maybe someone else can answer that one...... Good luck with your quest
3. A COG Knightfall 66 will cover everything from mild od to full on fuzzy nastyness, and everything inbetween. Two channels too. Definitely worth considering.
4. My name is ratman, and I am a pedalaholic.............
5. I just got my Grand Tarkin today. My old board was getting too tight for space so I just got a Diago Showman too. Everything's in there now and I'm dead happy with it. Especially my COGs. Damn, I love these COG pedals. Dirt heaven. Signal path is: Zoom B3 (with exp pedal) TC Polytune Catalinbread boost Bright Onions dual looper, with blends Loop 1 - SFX Micro Red Dragon Loop 2 - Fuzzrocious OhSeeDemon + 2nd gain mod Knightfall 66 Grand Tarkin BBE Opto Stomp compressor.
6. A Knightfall, standing idly around. Ha ha.
7. 😄😄
8.
Just wondering if I should contact Tom and see if he can do one with a clean blend?
I asked the same thing, but a standard Knightfall with a blend will set you back £140. You may as well get a 66 for an extra couple of quid, lots more bang for your buck. I did, and it rocks! You will not lose any low end, I promise. There is so much on tap. You're asking the same questions I did a few weeks ago, and Tom answered them all. Call him, He'll be happy to put your mind at rest. A bunch of BCers just told me just to get one, I wouldn't regret it. I'm now saying the same to you. Just do it. You will love it. It's the best drive pedal I have owned by a country mile. I've just done my first 2 gigs with it and everyone has commented on the tone and definition because it doesn't get lost in the general mix. Call Tom and sort it out!
9.
Ooo, this is totally turning into a 'share your 66 clipping choices' I'm currently on Germs for low gain and LEDs for high gain
So it is! It's going to take a while to properly explore all the choices but for my gigs this weekend I'm going with germanium for my low gain & LED for medium gain. And a boost pedal to give each channel a little extra poke here and there.
10. Agreed, it's ace! So far I've tried a Fuzzrocious Demon into it which added some nice high end, it sounded pretty good. My boost pedal also gives me more options on top. Also, we're doing Micheal Jackson's Black Or White on one of my gigs this weekend and my octave into a high gain setting is just mental. I'm not sure whether to offer my guitarist the nappy or wear it myself.......
11. I got my Knightfall 66 today. I know you guys were saying good things about these, but it wasn't till I plugged it in that I truly understood what it was all about. No tone suck, no bass suck, just oodles of lovely dirt. And tone to die for. And so many tonal options are available with the knobs & the 10 (yes10!) internal dip switches. It's amazing. I'm totally blown away with it. Finally, a pedal that out of the box just does 'it', and just in case you were wondering, you won't be seeing this baby in the f/s section anytime ever. Tom, you're a bloody star. I'll be back for something else soon.
12. Holy ****!! That looks amazing. And insane.
13. ah, GAS is an evil mistress......
14.
IIRC, they were an astonishing £85.
That's about right. I picked one up s/h for about £40.
15. Tasty! I should have mine next week. Bring it on

17. What about a Sonuus B2M? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_bzrzretvuw
18.
Are you talking about the B3K or Vintage?
I have the Vintage Microtubes. So far, with my gear, it seems like a limited (almost one trick) pony. I'm going to give it a fair chance to see what it can do but if it doesn't do it for me I'll be selling it. I have a COG on order and I have a feeling that will blow the Vintage off the map.
19. I've had my Microtubes for a couple of weeks now, and after all the anticipation I'm sad to say I'm not impressed. There aren't enough variation of sounds in it for me, and at £175 I wouldn't recommend it. For my last gig I mounted a Digitech Bass Driver on my board. I bought this on BC a couple of weeks ago for £20 s/h and this was its first outing. It sounded great on the gig. The Microtubes didn't.
20. What's it like to use? Are the effects any good?
21. I've had a bunch of new songs to learn for a gig this Saturday, but the one that really stands out is House Of Fun, Madness. It's a really well crafted song, and the bass part is a peach!
22. One week down on the wait for my COG, 7-9 weeks to go. Not that I'm counting or owt.....
