1. I'll sell you one second hand but as new if you fancy it!
2. I had no idea people had beef with HF, I think he's great and has always come across as a nice guy and humble to me. Anyway, back to the thread - anyone know how much these will be sold for? Talkbass people are suggesting $2500-$3000!
3. Same re. 5er fretless please!
4.
1985 is the year I was 29. I'm always interested in basses young enough to be my children.
5. Just getting in on the Chuck Rainey pics action!
6. To be honest without pics, it's not going to sell. Put some effort into your sales technique!!
7.
Yeah he's fussy and pedantic to the max, but I always thought that Walter Becker ( the Dan guitarist and writing partner for those that don't know) is one of the finest bassists (and best kept secrets) around. Great melodic, dynamic playing with lots of space and economy.
Agreed, have you heard the bass, drums and vox mix of "Snowbound" from Kamikiriad with WB on bass? Superb!
8. I might be interested in the Burner - open to offers? Or have you a price in mind for a straight sale?
9.
Just around 8:00pm, the band came onto the stage and opened with The Boston Rag - slightly obscure choice but I loved it!
Exactly what the Dan came onto in 2001 (I think) in London - fantastic choice!
10. Hi all, I've enjoyed clips of the Bass Gospelchops on Youtube and similar places. I can't seem to find it for sale in the UK. Can anyone help? Thanks Mike
11. 35" scale. Fabulous bass! Sounds really nice! and plays extraordinarily easily too!
12. Is this the one I sold about a month ago? Want to check before I harp on about how fab it is!
13. I had a terrible experience with Bass Direct. Ordered a TC Electronic gigbag, and was advised that due to a holiday it wouldn't be shipped for over a week. Pretty much received it the next day with excellent comms, for a good price, and couldnt be happier. Oh...wait....... Actually, one criticism - why is it not catproof? My cats love scratching it to bits!
14. I help teach some of the Music GCSE course. I always sit in and watch and help mark the performances. Don't try to play anything that's a real struggle - we want to hear what you know, not what you're working on. A more simple piece, executed cleanly with good timing is far better than a slappy tappy number with showoff potential. It's about being musical, remember!
15. A snivelling little bump!
16. Great, count me in.
17. Wasn't me, I was camping in the Peak District!
18. Bump for someone who sold me a lovely bass - but David, could you check your inbox? Have emailed you several times about it.
19. What sort of level?
20.
I would highly recommend the BassChat Bass bashes! A chance to try pretty much any bass on the market (if the owners are ok with, of course) - a day spent with other people passionate about bass and, when it comes to testing out gear - no spotty guitar-only shop staff oiks trying to impart their lack of bass knowledge on you! ;o)
True althought in my limited experience Clique Central! Maybe the OP should start a thread. I'd be up for some local bass swappage!
21. Good luck with your problem - hope it's resolved and there's a good excuse.
22. Total scamola! If you have to ask, it's almost certainly Scam City!
23. I looked in Chelmsford WH Smith too yesterday! Janek still there going strong! I have a subscription so I hope I'll be getting it soon.
