I've just received two very similar emails like this from two potential buyers. My asking price for the bass is £200. Is this a scam? [i]Hi , Glad to know you still have the Guitar for sale, i'm okay with your asking amount and i will offer you £300 I will need your full name that will be on the cheque, your address that the cheque will be send to and your mobile phone number you can always be reach on. I have a shipping company that will handle the picking up of the Guitar from your location, they will come for the proper pick up arrangement from your location after the cheque has clear...... You will receive a cheque of £2,000 in which you will deduct your money from it and send the rest to the shipping company for them to come to your location for the pick up. I hope to read again from you soon with your details for payment requested above so we can move on. [b]FOR SALE[/b] (Bass and Half Stack) [b]ASHDOWN MAG 250[/b] 250 Watt Bass guitar amplifier + 4 x 10 Ashdown Half Stack Bass Cab (Peak 500W) Very little wear - only a few years old and gigged perhaps once or twice. One of the last Ashdown bass amps handmade in the UK before their production line became factory based in asia. See pics for controls. Has an extra cooling fan that was fitted by an Ashdown engineer to ensure top performance - this was a known issue with the Mag 250, but I assure you it's perfectly standard and doesnt affect performance at all! The fan is only slightly audible when the amp is idle. Has an output for an additional expansion cabinet so you can build this into a full bass stack. USED but v. good condition. £200 [b]Squier 60s Classic Vibe Jazz Bass[/b] Olympic white with tortoishell scratchplate Only a year old and hardly played - still with the original Fender strings Not like the old (starter series) Squiers. This looks and plays like a Fender. There really isnt much difference in it at all. I played both this and the Fender Jazz in the shop when I bought it, and the difference is barely noticable. USED only a few times. Like NEW condition. £200 PLUS Lots of Planet Waves premium speaker/instrument cables Bass gigbag Guitar strap Korg tuner Guitar stand ALL thrown in if bought together @ [b]£400[/b] I'm only selling all this to fund my new production computer system.
