1. I've only just come into this build thread - very, very interesting. Love the pics. I live pretty close to Mike - only a ten minute drive really, so I pop in fairly regularly - a bit less since the Bass Merchant moved, though. Very nice guy, enjoy his company. Good luck with the bass, I look forward with great anticipation to more pictures of the completed bass!

Hey Johnny That's a heck of a CV! I downloaded and enjoyed the Coplandcasts but haven't seen any in quite some time - did you stop doing them? Kind regards, Mike
3. Hey Loudnclear - any interest in trades?
4. Yeah, "Ready Freddie" might still be on the road with the Dan at this time.
5. I love both Stings' and Copeland's playing. Both players in my top five of their respective instruments.
6. Bass Merchant, Colchester. Ask for Darren (or Chris).
7. Camden Town, northern line!
8. More info on the P Bass? Might be interested. In Chelmsford but you're in Harlow, Essex, right?
9. Absolutely superb - congratulations! Love where he's put his name. Must sound ace - all midi too, right?
10. I love this guy.
11. I'll pass this onto a colleague who may be interested. Pics appreciated.
12. What a spot-on for sale advertisment. Great pics!
13. Cheers for the link - it's one I've used for years now, LP does great work. How fab people like him (and our own members like bilbo) do so much for the education of others. Thanks all!
14. Same here. XP - zero problems. With vista, it seemed a no-go. A shame, because it's a fab bit of kit.
15. I used this, and continue to use this for years. EXCELLENT bit of kit - one word of warning though; despite there allegedly being vista drivers, I have not had success getting this compatible with Vista. I'm sure the seller won't mind me mentioning this. Good luck with the sale.
16. Actually under offer at the moment - should be meeting the buyer very soon. I'll amend the heading when the situation changes - thanks for the interest.
17. Nice job on the work. Does getting paid, however much, really make you a pro? Perhaps my definition of the word is different to other peoples - or are you being tongue in cheek? I do a fair bit of paid work (session/live/theatre) but I wouldn't bracket myself as a pro - yet! Look forward to your thoughts! Mike
18. Best wishes from Chelmsford!
19. Congrats - fabulous!
20. And another at, er, Canterbury Cathedral...:s
21. Piccolo bass, perhaps?
22.
PMs replied to. Hi Mike, flicking through these again I see that not only are the exercises completed but I've also made other notes throughout - I think it may be better if I withdraw these from sale.
No worries, cheers.
23. Would you accept £6 for the theory books posted? Are the "answers" actually all filled in?
24.
I'm also into 'superimposing' scale substitutions over dominant 7th chords - i.e. melodic minor, diminished, whole tone, and Lydian as a way of stepping outside before going back into the tonic.
Hey Mike - any chance you could expand on this a little more for us (me!) ? Perhaps with some examples? And then (even better) make a youtube video about it! Cheers Mike
