1. Hey - I'm very interested, but I'm not sure I can offer enough. I'll PM you what I've got! The only other issue is I'm in Essex, Portsmouth is quite far from me. It would be one heck of a day round trip.
2.
To you Mike, of course. It's about 4 months old, never rehearsed above 50% master volume (which is plenty to keep our drummer in check) and in as new condition. £999 RRP - make me an offer? Chris
Cheers Chris, I'll have a think and get back to you. Where are you based? Any chance of trying it at some point?
3. Thanks - I'll pass, decided I'm not keen on the rear porting. Sorry to get your hopes up - best of luck with the sale, it's great gear. Regards Mike
4. Are you open to offers of the pickguards? Would love a pearl one. How does it look with the black on? Got a picture?
5. I'm sort of tempted. It's a lot of money though but I see it's a good deal. I'll think on
6. Ah, I've just seen the 15 doesn't fit. Well, I might be interested in the 2x10. I'll have a think.
7. Hi Jim. Might be interested in the 1x15 to fit with my traveler 2x10. Actually, would you recommend the 1x15 + 2 x 10 or essentially a 4x10? It's a tough one. What amp head are you using with it and how are you finding it? Cheers MIke
8. Might be worth giving the Bass Merchant a call (he's in Colchester, ask for Darren) - I can assure you they'll be more than helpful!
9. Wow, best of luck. Sounds tremendous. I've not had the joy of playing a fanned fret yet but everyone always says how easy they are. Well, Toasted is always banging on about it, at least.
10.
any news on yours mike?
Sorry, just saw this. I asked him to refinish it as it had come up a little dark for my liking. We're looking at around 3 weeks, I think. Got a picture of the colour, it's fab. Very red.
11. I always liked Tom Barney's bassplaying, but I'm really digging Ready Freddie Washington. He's a great player! Would love to see WB play bass at some point - this might happen (possibly) if he does some solo gigs, but I'm not holding out.
12. Unfortunately a bit much for me...I'm out
13. Glad the site is working out so well! Always lovely to see feedback like this. I'm sure your daughter is making great progress!
14. Alive in America appears to be contentious, but I love it! Killing solo on Green Earrings, great versions of Peg and WB's Book of Liars....and new life breathed in Babylon Sisters. Some tracks were overdubbed in the studio, unfortunately, but still excellent!
15.
The Fez is a favourite of mine, very nice, simple and effective bass line if ever there was one.
And also sampled by All Saints some years back!
Try and get hold of Donald Fagen & The New York Rock and Soul Review live at the Beacon in NYC. Fantastic stuff
Wicked CD, with Will Lee on bass, and Mike McDonald!
16. I'll definately take one or both of the comfortt strapps if they're still available please?
17. Yep, Donald Fagen is a real hero of mine. I really really dig Morph the Cat, too - especially "Mona" and a few others. Interestingly, in a toss-up between Kamakiriad and Nightfly, I would probably plump for Kamikiriad. I have a single which has a bass, drums and vox only version of Snowbound - Beckers playing is fantastic, as is his tone. Absolutely tremendous.
18. If I gave a hoot about post-count, I'd post a meaningless message in here for the hell of it. But I don't. So I shan't.
19. Let's have a price, maintainant!
20. Bonjour et bienvenue a Basschat! Il y a un prix pour la basse? C'est tres belle, je suis un pue interessant! Je regrette, je ne parle pas la francais! Merci! Mike
21. Sheesh! Open to offers!
22. I'm in Chelmsford, Essex, and have a Markbass traveler 12" combo, with a traveler 2x10 - you're welcome to come over and try them out if you fancy it!
23. Same here, extremely interested but quite far. I'm going to be in Sheffield in the next few weeks though, so it's a possibility...
24. Cheers for looking, Faithless. Got anything interesting though?
