1. After trying the BB-1X for a bit I can echo Dan's thoughts above. The separation between the drive and clean blend does sound like the OD is sitting very distinctly apart from the dry bass sound. The very high gain settings are interesting too. Turning the gain off totally offers a simple DI with a useable EQ. What I have discovered though is that it really likes being pushed by a drive pedal. Setting the BB-1X at low gain and gaining it up with another distortion/drive gives much more convincing results. I'll try it on my gigs over the weekend and see how it performs, but its got its work cut out to push my Tonehammer off the top spot.
  2. I was hoping for a low gain / clean DI in a Boss shaped box. Guess I'll find out in a couple of days. :-)
  3. Withdrawn - I'm keeping it now! [s]For sale only as I've got a hankering for something in the for sale section and I'll probably withdraw it if it goes.[/s] [s]Absolutely immaculate, as new Fender 51 reissue P bass In beautiful Butterscotch blonde. Made in Japan. String through body, reverse tuners and chunky neck. Great vintage sound and feel. Currently strung with Labella Half rounds. I'll throw in a Seymour Duncan SCPB-3 pickup too as well as the original. These can be easily swapped over with the connection block under the scratch plate. I'll also provide a gig bag. I'd really like to avoid postage so its collection only from North London EN1. EDIT: I'll offer delivery within a reasonable distance from Enfield or I'm in town (Covent Garden) quite a bit for gigs so could meet there too.[/s] Pics are annoyingly at a jaunty angle:

On a side note, I tried an ENO Rat clone and thought it was excellent. I preferred it to an original early 90's Rat and my Fuzzdog clone.
  5.
Another option with octave up is the older Pearl OC-07 - available secondhand.
True, but as its an analogue octave up there is an inherent distortion. The POG is brutally clean - if thats what you want?

    Boss SY-300

Hmmm, thats a very guitary demo. I would have liked to see a bit more scope.
£500?!
I know, Ouch!
  9.
This has been the case since (at least) late February, where they were purported to be shipping mid-March. I emailed them to ask about a release date, and they responded quickly but vaguely. Subsequently, the shipping date got bumped back to mid-May. I'm so GASsy about this pedal...
Ahh, bummer - I'd like one too, It'd make my PT Mini setup much neater and I'm intrigued to hear the 'New' POG algorithm.

Just spotted this: http://www.andertons.co.uk/multi-fx-units/pid39333/cid693/boss-sy300-guitar-synthsizer-system.asp Says at the bottom it'll work with bass too? is this the new Deep Impact?
  11. Oooh look, Andertons have them on pre order: http://www.andertons.co.uk/compact-pedals/pid37844/cid692/electro-harmonix-nano-pog-pedal.asp?LGWCODE=37844;56375;2717&utm_source=googlebase&utm_term=NANO%20POG&utm_medium=pricecomp&utm_campaign=GoogleShopping&gclid=Cj0KEQjwmLipBRC59O_EqJ_E0asBEiQATYdNh6_TLJDIdWdO2RMywilZRDvND98YqPYCw0c_sDMyVowaAlG_8P8HAQ
  12.
POG has a really good Octave up in my opinion, but it's octave down lacks any kind of body. It pales in comparison against the OC-2 (forget the OC-3). If you have space on your board, OC-2 for lows, then wait for the new smaller POG Nano for your octave up needs. Si
+1 that reminds me of a previous conversation…….
  13. Where are you based? and is the price including postage?
  14. Very nice. That would look great sat next to my '69 Tele bass. I'm sadly a long way short on the cash. GLWTS
