1. I can't say I'm not a bit gutted, but it will save a lot of grief with the Mrs. It's a peach of a bass I'm sure the new owner will be very pleased. …and Tim, I'll PM you my address for you to post the commission cheque
2.
They look like the ones that came with my Lakland, which were I believe Schaller ones that were strap-lock ready. Hadn't seen them on a Fender before, that was all! Is this active only, or does it work passive?
Active only.
3.
@ Noirbass - if you have a second could you confirm or deny if the strap buttons are the same as yours please? I have a feeling I read somewhere that it had Schaller licensed tuners & pins . . . Cheers Tim
Yep, they're all stock (tuners and strap buttons) and the radius is standard Jazz bass.
4.
I think I see it too - is the bottom half of what is presumably the bass/treble stack is upside down in comparison to the volume one? Looks like the top half of the concentric knobs should sit in a depression in the top of the bottom half, as the volume one appears to be doing. Or maybe I'm going mad and seeing things.
Very nicely put, exactly what I mean. @ Tim - good luck finding the allen keys Someone buy this please otherwise I might have to.
5. Is the bass knob on upside down?
6. +1 on Hercules stands. http://www.herculesstands.com/mics/MS533B.html I just bought one of these and its really good. I particularly like the 'Hideaway' boom extension.
7.
Why is it called Cowpoke. Where are the cows?
See post 10 here: http://bassoutpost.com/index.php?topic=2380.0
8. Aaaaarggghhh! - I have one of these and it has become my main gigging bass of late. I love the neck on it and the active pre amp somehow retains the Fender tone. I'd have this in a heartbeat as I'd love another as a spare, but this close to Christmas I fear divorce papers being issued should another bass enter the house. Great bass GLWTS
9. Despite Kova's Newbie status he is top chap. I can vouch for his reliability. He also posses some top end gear that I'm most jealous of. :-0 Great pedal, GLWTS
10. Found one: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Boss-PHR-10-Mini-Rack-Phaser-/201233933900?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item2eda7a264c
11. As much as I have a soft spot for Boss pedals, this is not one I would recommend. The note detection is very sluggish and makes for miserable music making. IMHO. Get a Digitech BSW if you want to trial a bass synth, or better still a ZOOM MS-60B or B3.
12. Bought a Boss GT-10b from Pete. Easy as pie, great comms, super fast delivery. Top man, thanks again.
13. Bought a Hohner B2A from Neil. Really easy purchase bass was as described and he posted it for cost. Deal in confidence.
14. Bought a couple of cables from Rob. Easy peasy - I refer you to my comments above.
15. Bargain, I used one of these for ages. Great little unit. GLWTS
16. I've just purchased a 3 Leaf Audio Enabler from Sam. He was brilliant to deal with with great coms throughout. The pedal turned up very quickly and was exceptionally well packaged. He even sent me detailed instructions for unboxing the item when it arrived. Highly recommended, would deal with again in a heartbeat.
17. That is very tasty.
18. Always wanted to try one of these for the Bass Synth algo. How is it?
19. Did a pedal trade with Daryl and it was a pleasure from start to finish. Great comms throughout. Would be very happy to deal with again.
20. So clean! GLWTS
21. PM'd re TS-9
22. Bought the guts from Ian's Fender Cowpoke. Really easy deal and he provided loads of very helpful pics and info to help me install the bits into my bass. He's credit to the forum, and typifies why Basschat is such a good place to buy stuff. Needless to say it was a hassle free purchase from start to finish. Highly reccomended.
