1. My first decent bass was one of these vantages! I bought it from a lad at school for £20 and used it for a couple of years but replaced it with an Ibanez musician. I wish I still had both of those basses! I found the vantage to have a nice warm P like tone (it had a dimarzio) and used it to record with at college (regrettably I don't have them) and I loved the tone.
2. 3 times in 26 years of playing! 2 times in my first year of playing over slapping on really cheap strings and once backing a caberet at a holiday park.it was 20 years ago and I was playing light swing and motown at the time 😆 ive just jinxed myself now, better make sure I've spares 😅
3. My wife treats my basses/gear with mild indifference, much like a cat! she reluctantly let me put them on the wall when we moved to a bigger house and she just rolls her eyes when I mention gear. She was happy to spend the money ive made over the years playing on handbags and shoes though!!!! On the plus side my daughters love em! Especially the pretty blue one 😂
4.
So my pedal that had a box over it on my board pic when i posted......i can talk about it now
The 3 leaf Octavbre killer!!(tongue in cheek 😆)very cool indeed! I bet it's pricey though (worth every penny im sure) To Colin B re filters From reading Toms website; it's two T65's (each with its own low pass filter for the down octave,to go from synthy to smooth) the third sub channel seems to be just the octave down (no clean or up) to emulate the classic OC2 but with the added bonus of a seperate filter for the sub octave. Brilliant!!!!! Imagine one set for a smooth clean octave down a la EBS, then switch to a toothy gritty mutron tone with a dirty octave up,then stomp on a dubby OC2 style tone!!! I need one of these 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆 love it!!
5. That T70 looks incredible!! I want one with some nice star wars artwork on 😆. MInd you! anyone selling on a T65/T16? 😉
6. Wow my Octave Gas o Meter just blew a gasket! I can see more stuff going for sale 😆

8. Had a bit of a downsize! And gone down to the bare basics 😆 id still love a fuzz (you're Doom) and my tuner isnow in the tuner out on my Glockenklang. I think a Metro 20 is in order!
9.
...a nugget of purest Green. Still for sale
brilliant 😂 have a bump for a bass id really love!
10. Recently sold a markbass stand to Andy! Superfast payment and a thoroughly nice fella! What more could you want. cheers Andy
11. It's the same as mine! And mine has no routing under the plate (as per the original fenders)so yes you can use without a plate 😆
12. Ooh that's nice! What wood is it and what type of jazz is it made for? (Japanese/usa/me etc)
13.
Do you really believe this?
no Crez! I should rephrase that to not everybody gets paid to play music they love. Op clearly doesn't enjoy that kind of music, however it's a standard set list for a lot of weddings. The clients will pay to hear what they love, unfortunately not what the bass player enjoys playing. ive been lucky that I've earned a living playing music, although playing ballroom on a cruise liner didn't fulfill me musically. my point if you are being offered decent money to play music, you are very lucky to be in that situation and perhaps for the time being,he can just enjoy playing, which is what we're all here for. cheers
14. Nobody gets paid to play music they love Andy 😉 take the gig while Mrs Travis is on maternity! Whose the band? That list looks familiar (every wedding band in the country). I'd be quite happy to take a gig with a decent wedding band, especially as I lost all my gigs after moving to another part of the county 😕
15. Awww I had a streamer Lx in exactly the same finish, with the slim wenge necks (p J pickups) one of the best basses ive ever owned! Just beautiful, if I had the cash id be very tempted 😆 Have a bump
