  1. I played a Sandberg fretless the other day and it was a monster... That'd be my choice! But i am biased!
  2. Postage possible for both, collection welcome! Native Instruments Komplete Control A61 MIDI controller/Keyboard just used at home. A very decent semi-weighted action. I still have the original box, plus an M-audio sustain pedal and USB cable. £120 I can transfer to the new owner all of the included software: THE GENTLEMAN – classic upright piano MONARK – iconic mono synth SCARBEE MARK 1 – electric piano REAKTOR PRISM – polyphonic synthesizer REAKTOR BLOCKS WIRED – modular synths REAKTOR 6 PLAYER – powerful player for REAKTOR instruments KONTAKT 6 PLAYER – including 50 instruments GUITAR RIG 5 PLAYER – custom amp, 17 cabinets, and 13 effects KOMPLETE KONTROL Software MASCHINE ESSENTIALS I'm also selling this Z-type keyboard stand with castors. A few months of use in the home studio. Very adjustable: Height:25.5-37.5 inches/65-95.5cm Width 24.4-40.9 inches/62-104cm £45
  3. Price includes shipping within the UK. No case or bag, but will package very securely! Collection also welcome. This is the lined fretless version 2 Swamp Ash model in white blonde, just a few months old. Two tiny dings in the back that are too small to photograph! I have added tape and repositioned the dot markers along the side of the fretboard (pictured), as the positioning of them was throwing me out. This will come off easily, but you may well find it's easier with them on! Straplocks will be replaced with the original buttons before sale.
  4. These two beauties arrived from Ergo straps in Chile this week! I've tried an absolute ton of different straps, and these seem awesome so far, on a par with the Gruvgear/Mono for comfort but real works of art. Not exactly cheap though!
  5. I appreciate you were being specific to the situation, not a generalisation! From the perspective of a working bassist who loves working in the EU, (and missing working at all!)... My friends/colleagues and I are just feeling devastated at the moment. We've lost people, we've lost our livelihoods, and at least some of it feels avoidable. We'll do anything to feel like we have some say! Not to mention the obsession with fishing rights.... When you're desperate you tend to do seemingly pointless things, as the other options start running out!
  6. It's more half the UK wanting it's cake, and the other half eating it. I'm not sure calling musicians who are at this point battered and bruised from the toughest of times pathetic for doing anything they can to just try and keep some hope is the most appropriate response on a forum about music... I agree that the EU has absolutely no obligation to help us, but you have to realise that the vast majority of signees didn't want any restrictions either way from the start!
  7. A few chunky padded straps up for grabs... The Mono is nearly new, the other two have seen some gigs! Prices include UK postage. Mono Betty in Ash (3 1/4"), £30 SOLD GruvGear Solo 4" in Brown, £35 SOLD GruvGear Solo 2.5" in Black £28 SOLD
  8. I've got a thread on here for my Synth Bass stuff, but recently i've decided to dig a little deeper into some of my favourite bass tracks, both Electric and Synth. Partly to keep me in playing shape, largely as a project to keep me sane! It also encourages me to get to know the quirks of the basses I have here a little better. I'm trying to keep everything under a minute, which is a fun arrangement exercise! I've been refreshing myself on the Beatles catalogue recently so here's a few starters... Vimeo seeing as Youtube instantly blocked these! If anybody wishes to delve into my past stuff here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/paddyblight
  9. Nope not yet, was hoping to this year but, erm... you know! They have some in stock at the bass gallery in Camden by the looks of it?
  10. Ahh yes, i had to email them! Around £1150 for the KB1 or Vintage models
  11. Like the Apple of OC-2 clones... I'm still sorely tempted but i've seen a few shots of the new ones having some fairly major cosmetic issues, labelling coming off and the finish tarnishing very quickly. I'd rather wait and see a few batches and some gig-time down the line before dropping that kind of money!
  12. The KK Baby Basses could be a bet too. Perfect sound for more Latin styles, I'd happily use one for function work. Prices a little cheaper than some of the options here, and a few different models available.
  13. I have a feeling my OC-2 has been modded to run at full volume with 9V. The common issue seems to be that the originals were designed to run at 12v (ACA adaptor) so for most people they lack volume.
  14. I’ll comment more when I’ve put out the full video, but I’m definitely rethinking which one goes on my board from the collection. 6 great pedals but I’m developing a clear favourite. Trying to get across the feel and ‘subby’ness is tricky!
  15. Here we go... whilst waiting for the MXR to arrive I've put together a little Boss Blind Test shootout! I'd love to hear what you thought before the reveal! Going to film the 6-pedal test over the next few days, so any feedback/requests very welcome, I want them to be as useful and representative as possible. Trying to keep the playing simple, and there's no EQ/compression going on at all. Edit... for the Sub only settings the OC-2 is maxed, and the OC-5 at about 2 O'Clock. Both pulled back a little alongside the dry signal.
  16. If anybody fancies sending any of these over... ! There's always opportunity for round 2 anyway!
  17. I managed to find a VBO for sale, so it's a nice bunch for the shootout! I've been getting familar with all of them over the last few days, it's been very interesting. I swear my favourite changes on an hourly basis! Initial thoughts on the OC-5 are that it's very impressive!
  18. @Quatschmacher I've been having a play today, really enjoyable thankyou!
  19. Shootout underway.... Sadly couldn't get hold of the MXR but i'd imagine these are some of the more popular options!
  20. SE Electronics reflection filter for guitar/bass amps, vocals, anything that needs a little more isolation! Has own stand or can be mounted on a mic stand. Bought for touring this year and never used outside of the home studio in the end, where i've just built an Iso booth. Can mount one Dynamic-style mic and another from the hanging bracket. All boxed, postage to the mainland UK included. A tidy solution!
  21. @Mikey D You might be thinking of the COG T16/T47?
  22. @Quatschmacher epic! Could deffo get away with that in a Band context. Have long been trying to cop the Rhodes Bass sound too, which is close to this. Fancy sharing?
