  1. One little copperhead trick that really helped me... a thin strip of gasket cork between it and the foot of the bridge. More consistent and a little more focused! The best tool was a HPF though, to really fine tune the lower frequencies.
  2. I bet there's a few people here who've played the Cavern Club Live Lounge... just wondering if anyone has any advice with regards to load in, parking, house amps etc? looks pretty pedestrian around there! I'm there in a few weeks for the first time, and it's date 1 of an otherwise very straightforward tour of venues i know well. Looking forward to seeing a little bit of the history! If anyone is coming to night one of the Andy Timmons UK tour, or indeed any of the shows please let me know!
  3. Having tried this recently there's something cool about the feel of so much of the cab having direct contact with a stage... it can actually really help in a bigger space, especially with IEMS and maybe a lower stage volume.
  4. Somehow got one... looking forward to being back in the COG world, always regretting selling mine!
  5. Reasonably lightly used and well looked after Neo 810 cabinet... the classic fridge. A perfect practice rig for those of you concerned about volume at home... Comes with Roqsolid cover, has well placed handles, heavy duty wheels and rails on the back for ease of use. I can manage this solo which i can't say about most cabinets this size. Sounds utterly mighty, but am now running something smaller due to band-van tetris since we added a new member! Collection in Bournemouth, or can potentially arrange a meet. Can provide my gig diary on request! Any questions please get in touch.
  6. Joining you guys with what I believe the yanks call 'NAMMthrax'... Urgh! At least I've plenty of 4 string toys to play with...
  7. Very kind of you to say! I was having a great time up there... looks like i've become an early 70s P addict in the space of a few days!
  8. Hey @walshy& @AndyTravis it was utterly lovely to meet you both… and the journey through the P-basses was a fun and enlightening experience! The ‘71 loan has been extended for the moment…
  9. I'll be onstage at 4pm on Sunday by the looks of it... a bit of Sandberg action plus a very lovely '71 P I've borrowed for the weekend! If you're about please say hi... looking forward to a few hours wandering about beforehand!
  10. Looks like I'll be there on Sunday with That Pedal Show, amongst other things. Looking forward to it!
  11. Juicy new pictures added! Plus some videos of this very bass...
  12. @0175westwood29 Thankyou! I will get this done 👍
  13. I guess this fits the effects area best... please tag anyone you think might have the knowledge! I'm hoping to have a tidy up of my board shortly, and one of the biggest pains I have is this bulky IEC splitter which allows me to power my Gigrig Generator and Noble DI from one IEC input on the board. I've definitely seen examples of people running two cables directly from the IEC input, and had it mentioned to me as an option but cannot seem to find proof that A. it's safe and 2. It will work well. I can't see it being any different from using a splitter but I'm really not versed in this stuff. if it's possible and anyone wants to make me a tidy twin cable input with a boot I'd be delighted!
  14. Interesting amount of negative responses here! I work often in a covers band where one of the singers is a bassist-in-progress to whom i give a lesson every now and then. Sometimes I get her to play a tune or two on the gig just for fun... no harm in being supportive of someone who has taken interest in the finest of instruments!
  15. Origin Effects Cali76 Compressor for sale... Whilst i'd never be without one, I've just snagged the Unicorn 'P' version so letting this one go! The quality of the compressor is well known, but for me the biggest surprise was what the transformer adds when run at 18v... and the great disappointment whenever removed from the signal chain. A few marks to the front, have shown everything clearly in photos. Boxed but no power supply. £850 including UK special delivery, please PM for questions / offers.
  16. Great dealings with Jeff, a pleasure!
  17. @Sibob 100% to that! I love my OC-2 but honestly the 5 is so close, so that added function would be amazing.
  18. I was considering going for one (having ordered then cancelled when this first came out and I waited 9 months for nothing!) but honestly when it came to it I couldn't bring myself to press the button. I think Spencer comes across as quite prickly, especially when the first batches had print problems and he was slow to rectify. The preamp debacle last time around was spectacular... it's his product so he can do what he likes but he does seem to hate his own customers sometimes. Wish someone else would get a small OC-2 with a SUB solo out on to the market! Cog mini t-47 looked promising but again, good luck getting one!
  19. 2 Pinegrove padded Leather straps with suede backing. Both have oversized holes for straplocks... I'd only use them with some kind of lock. Lightly used, Incredibly comfortable and grippy! I have a 4" and a 2 3/4" for sale, £60 posted each. . .
  20. Lightly used Fender Rumble 800HD... 800 watt Class D head with overdrive, padded bag, speakon cable. £420 Posted in the UK. Please PM any offers / questions! .
  21. 'Finally' Tube DI is great condition.... can get pretty dirty with the gain up but plenty of clean headroom. Managed to fool a friend and myself in a Noble shootout at some point which was fun! I've gone a different direction with my small board setup however. £225 including UK Postage. Blurb from the website: https://www.sushiboxfx.com/product/finally/ Finally a my basic take on a tube D.I. It takes your unbalanced guitar input and feeds it through a high-voltage tube preamp then out through a high-end DI transformer and out into a balanced XLR output. You also have a 1/4″ output up top, and you can switch between dry passthrough from the input or affected output from the preamp for the 1/4″ output. Controls: 1/4" Out Dry/Pre, Gain, Ground/Lift, Level Enclosure Size: 4.7 in x 3.7 in x 1.34 in (119 mm x 94 mm x 34 mm) Milliamp Draw: 500mA @ 9vdc Warmup, 250mA @ 9vdc After Warmup Polarity: Center-negative, like most guitar pedals Tubes: 1x 12AX7 Voltage: 9-12vdc
