    Also saw Bernhoft at the Jazz Cafe this year, solo. Wasn't sure about it as I want to see him with a band so much, but the solo show was incredible and I never felt i missing out! The Stop/Shutup EP is a personal favourite of mine! His bass playing on songs like Streetlights, So Many Faces, Fly Away really gets me going!

    @JPJ amazing! I am looking to send a separate line to a 2nd amp (powering a bass board). I am wondering whether the FX loop can just send signal when in parallel mode, without cutting the rest of the chain? Or whether there is a mode that allows the tuner out to be always active. Plan C would be to put some kind of splitter in the FX loop, but i'm dealing with an artist who doesn't want things to be any more complicated!

    Lightly used Boss digital wireless system... including extra case, charging cables etc. Advertised 12 hour battery life... I never went further than 4 hours so can't speak to that! Price includes UK postage.

    I think it's more commonplace (naturally) across the pond. I seem to find myself working with US and canadian guitarists a fair bit, some of which is reasonably complicated rock/fusion and they all communicate in this manner. Many a session with someone's scribblings in front of me! Regularly having 3/4 days notice max being able to operate this way is a godsend. My own style is somewhat of a hybrid... I use goodnotes on the ipad, and find reading my own scribbles way easier than anything typed. I also find handwriting them helps songs stick in my mind, and often means when the time comes i'm less likely to need notes anyway. In case this is of interest to anyone, here's some recent examples. Often written in the back of a van trying to hear the bass on an iphone speaker!

    On the contrary, I live by NN for most of my professional work... if it's not written, i'm at least thinking in it! Such a great way to cover lots of ground very quickly and communicate with people. To the original point... I always think in the relative major! Song Charting Made Easy: A Play-Along Guide to the Nashville Number System is a really great resource for getting comfortable with the system.

    In response to a few enquiries, I've removed the hipshot ultralite hardware/pinegrove strap/straplocks and put this back to stock. No trades, shipping possible. Nordstrand Acinonyx in white with an extra Tort pickguard, a beautifully fitting Gator Icon gigbag and 2 sets of strings. It's currently fitted LaBella Low Tension Flats, and a set of D'addario EXL 50-105 roundwounds is in the bag. Original chickenhead knob included. I have also pictured a small crack in the finish around the neck pocket... I have seen this on most of these, just for full disclosure. . . . . . . .

    @scrumpymike Attendance confirmed... although I'll be running off by 2 for a gig. Do I need to send you some funds? Will have my Superbassman/610 rig, 2 Limelight Ps, 2 Sandberg TT Masterpieces, Acinonyx, pedalboards and upright with me for the shows so happy to set up anything anyone fancies trying out!

    As a Noble user, I was looking for something that hit the spot for me when I couldn't take that out. I've owned a Capo for a little while, and while i liked how it sounds, I found it a little too sensitive and would end up endlessly fiddling with the EQ. I've ended up with a Caveman BP1c (of which there are some for sale on here!). It sounds similar to the Capo on the settings i liked, if not better, and is hard to mess up! And the biggie is that when i have that and not the Noble, I'm not bummed out! Hope that helps...

    Looks like I may be able to come up... I have a gig not far away the night before. If so I'll have a van full of big Fender Valvey goodness, some Sandbergs, Limelights, possibly an upright and pedalboards. TBC!

    At risk of a thread derailment @Chadu25... And to bring things back on track, here's the A rig. Unchanged for quite a while, possibly the upgrade from TX to TX-P and the return of the T-47 are the only changes since last time, although underneath a shift to Cioks power and a complete rewire this summer. I left enough length on the G to work as a 4-string set. £55 GHS Pressurewound 44-102 Cut for vintage P, gigged once! £28 La Bella Nickel Roundwound 45/100 Still sealed! £20 La Bella Nickel Roundwound 45/105. Cut for vintage P, ungigged £18 (Whoops... wrong strings pictured!) D'addario Nickel Roundwound 50/105 Bought and cut for downtuned gig on vintage P, but ungigged! £15 Sandberg Stainless Steel 45/130 (I think!) Removed from brand new Sandberg 4+1 headstock £15

    Broughton HPF-DI... an Adjustable Hi-Pass Filter combined with an Impedance/Gain adjustment, phase control and high quality DI. This was the centre of my DB rig until i went to the far pricier Grace Felix, and this gives it a run for it's money to be honest. Also does sound great on Electric bass! As with most Broughton stuff, no longer available. A few marks from pedalboard mounting as shown in the photos. Price includes UK postage.

    On the fence about this... but trying to clear some space! Ashdown CTM-30 in tweed, beautiful low volume valve goodness. Wonderful at home but also suitable for smaller gigs. Can include a speaker splitter for running 2 cabs from one output for various impedance options. Hotcovers cover. Collection preferred, do travel a little and can probably post if need be. I believe @Kateplaysbass is selling the matching cab if anybody wants the Tweed package!
