The 'de facto' passive bass for me is a (Fender) P bass.

For my money the biggest 'mod' you can make is your strings.....

Once played a gig at Myerscough College one mid week night Room was busy but we got virtually no reaction (originals band), students mainly sitting round talking etc. On the following Saturday afternoon I was in a busy Our Price (remember them?) in Blackburn Town Centre. I hear "Hey, it's him out of that band that other night!" and a group of 5 or 6 people come over and start talking. The rest of the people in the shop all turn round for a look, while the students say all the usual...though you were brilliant, do they have your records in here etc. Strange I says to them as we though we bombed by getting no reaction at the gig. Felt famous for a split second......(and couldn't get out quick enough...)

Sold a Bass to Donovan. Despite the UK > Belgium transaction it was a very easy deal, Great communication and a top bloke. Thanks Donovan.

Sold a bass body to Dazz14. Good communications and swift payment. A great all round transaction so easy to Recommend.

Sold an amp to Phil. Good comms, swift payment, have dealt with before and will deal with again without any worries.

Ash bought some tuning pegs from me. Made an acceptable offer, paid money quickly and I posted. An easy, straight forward deal.

I've recently had a right royal runaround on Gumtree recently. Dealing more with the 'general public' lets say so have your wits about you. I've put a couple of cars on there before now as well that have attracted some, ahem, intersting characters. Preloved is similar but on a smaller scale. But, of course, if no joy selling on here then it attracts a wider audience.
